- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.非侵襲型プローブ装置であって、 被検者の体内に挿入するための遠方端に隣接する遠方部であって、この部分に 力が加えられたときに所定の曲線形をとることが仮定される遠方部を有する可撓 性の長手プローブと、 前記遠方端に既知の関係を保って前記プローブの遠方部に固定され、プローブ の曲げに応答する信号を発生する第1および第2のセンサと、 前記曲げ応答信 号を受け取り、前記少なくとも第1のセンサの位置と方位座標を見出すため、お よび前記プローブ遠方部の長さ方向に沿った複数の地点の位置を測定するため、 この曲げ応答信号を処理する信号処理回路を具備する装置。 2.前記第1のセンサは、外部から印加される磁場に応答する信号を発生する 3個のコイルを具備する請求項1に記載の装置。 3.前記プローブは、前記カテーテル遠方部の長さ方向にわたってほぼ均一な 弾性を有する請求項1に記載の装置。 4.前記プローブは、長手の弾性部材を具備する請求項1に記載の装置。 5.前記第2のセンサは、位置検知要素を具備する請求項1乃至請求項4のい ずれか1項記載の装置。 6.前記信号処理回路は、前記第2のセンサの位置座標と方位座標を見出すた め、この第2のセンサで発生した信号を処理する請求項5に記載の装置。 7.前記信号処理回路によって見出される位置座標と方位座標は、6次元的な 位置座標と方位座標である請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか1項記載の装置。 8.前記第2のセンサは、曲げ検知センサを含む請求項1乃至請求項4のいず れか1項記載の装置。 9.前記曲げセンサは、前記プローブの曲げ方向に応答する信号を発生する請 求項8に記載の装置。 10.前記曲げセンサは、少なくとも1個の圧電結晶を含む請求項8に記載の 装置。 11.前記少なくとも一個の圧電結晶は3個の結晶を含み、各結晶はそれぞれ の軸が相互に直交する請求項10に記載の装置。 12.前記曲げセンサは、光ファイバセンサを含む請求項8に記載の装置。 13.前記曲げセンサは、歪みセンサを含む請求項8に記載の装置。 14.前記信号処理回路は、前記プローブの曲率半径を特定する請求項1乃至 請求項4のいずれか1項記載の装置。 15.前記信号処理回路は、前記プローブが形づくる螺旋形の半径とピッチを 特定する請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか1項記載の装置。 16.前記プローブは、その前記遠方部内に、たわみ装置を備える請求項1乃 至請求項4のいずれか1項記載の装置。 17.被検者の体内における長手可撓性プローブの行路を測定する方法であっ て、 前記プローブ上の一点の位置座標と方位座標を見出す工程と、 前記一点に隣接するプローブの部分の曲げ角を測定する工程と、 前記体内におけるプローブの部分の長さ方向に沿った複数の地点の位置を特定 するため、前記位置座標と方位座標、ならびに曲げ角を処理する工程を含む方法 。 18.前記位置座標と方位座標を見出す工程は、6次元的な位置座標と方位座 標を見出す工程を含む請求項17に記載の方法。 19.前記曲げ角を測定する工程は、前記プローブ上の追加的な地点の位置座 標を見出す工程を含む請求項17に記載の方法。 20.前記曲げ角を測定する工程は、前記プローブの曲げに係る力を測定する 工程を含む請求項17に記載の方法。 21.前記位置座標と曲げ角を処理する工程は、前記プローブの曲率半径を算 出する工程を含む請求項17乃至請求項20のいずれか1項記載の方法。 22.前記位置座標と曲げ角を処理する工程は、前記プローブの螺旋状行路の 半径を算出する工程を含む請求項17乃至請求項20のいずれか1項記載の方法 。
