Abstract
【解決手段】 本発明の乗員検知システムは、車両のシート2の着席部20に配設されたアンテナ電極1と、ガード電極3と、シートへ2の乗員の着席を検知する電源手段4と、を有し、ガード電極3がアンテナ電極1のシート2の表面側の電界を打ち消した状態で、アンテナ電極1と車両のフロアと間の静電容量にもとづいてシート上の乗員の検知を行うことを特徴とする。本発明の乗員検知システムは、直接シート上の乗員を検知していないことから、シート上の乗員の状態が変化しても、乗員の検知を行うことができる。

Description
まず、車両シートに配設されるアンテナ電極1を作製した。
本実施例の乗員検知システムの動作を説明する。本実施例の乗員検知システムにより乗員の検知を行うときの測定方法を図4に示した。
本比較例は、ガード電極3をもたない以外は、実施例と同様な構成をもつ従来の乗員検知システムである。
実施例1と比較例の乗員検知システムのシートに乗員が着席したときの乗員の体重とアンテナ電極に検出される静電容量との関係を図6に示した。なお、静電容量の測定は、座布団を敷いた状態と、敷かない状態の二つの状態で行われた。
上記した実施例の乗員検知システムの別の形態として、図7にその構成を示した形態がある。図7に示した乗員検知システムは、電源装置4が異なる以外は実施例の乗員検知システムと同様な構成である。

Claims (5)
- 車両のシートの着席部に配設されたアンテナ電極と、
該アンテナ電極と該シートの表面との間に配設されたガード電極と、
該アンテナ電極および該車両に接続され、該アンテナ電極に負荷電流を付与して微弱電界を発生させるとともに該アンテナ電極に流れる電位電流を検出し、該シートへの乗員の着席を検知する電源手段と、
を有し、
該ガード電極が該アンテナ電極の該シートの表面側の電界を打ち消した状態で、該アンテナ電極と該車両のフロアと間の静電容量にもとづいて該シート上の乗員の検知を行うことを特徴とする乗員検知システム。 - 前記アンテナ電極は、乗員が着席したときに前記車両のフロア面との距離が変位する前記シートの部位にもうけられた請求項1記載の乗員検知システム。
- 前記シートが、クッションパッドと、該クッションパッドの表面に配置され着席面を形成する表皮材と、を有し、
該クッションパッドの該表皮材の配置されていない側の表面に前記アンテナ電極が配設された請求項1記載の乗員検知システム。 - 前記ガード電極は、前記アンテナ電極が前記シートの表面側に発生する電界を打ち消す電界を発生する請求項1記載の乗員検知システム。
- 前記電源手段と前記ガード電極とが接続された請求項4記載の乗員検知システム。
