Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の触媒劣化判定装置は、排気ガスを浄化する触媒と、触媒から排出される排気ガス中の酸素濃度を検出する酸素濃度検出手段と、酸素濃度検出手段の出力に応じて空燃比をフィードバック制御するフィードバック制御手段とを備える内燃機関において、目標空燃比を理論空燃比よりもリッチな値に設定する目標空燃比設定手段と、目標空燃比設定手段により理論空燃比よりもリッチな値に目標空燃比を設定した後において、触媒内の吸蔵酸素を放出してから所定時間経過後に酸素濃度検出手段が吸蔵酸素の放出時点における出力から一定値以上変化する場合に、触媒の貴金属が劣化したと判断する劣化判定手段とを備える。

Claims (1)
- 排気ガスを浄化する触媒と、
触媒から排出される排気ガス中の酸素濃度を検出する酸素濃度検出手段と、
酸素濃度検出手段の出力に応じて空燃比をフィードバック制御するフィードバック制御手段とを備える内燃機関において、
目標空燃比を理論空燃比よりもリッチな値に設定する目標空燃比設定手段と、
目標空燃比設定手段により理論空燃比よりもリッチな値に目標空燃比を設定した後、触媒内の吸蔵酸素が放出されて酸素濃度検出手段の出力が理論空燃比よりもリッチであることを示す信号レベルに変化した時点での当該出力と、その時点から所定時間が経過した時点での酸素濃度検出手段の出力との間で、一定値以上の変化が生じている場合に触媒の貴金属が劣化したと判断する劣化判定手段と
を備える内燃機関の触媒劣化判定装置。
