Abstract
Description
米国特許第5,820,956号(Hatakeyama)は、パッケージされた物品の形成に利用可能な、酸素吸収剤を含む多層構造材料を開示している。
米国特許公開公報第2010/0255231号(Chau)は、袋またはパウチの作成に利用が想定される酸素捕捉性フィルムを開示している。
米国特許第5,045,264号(Kirksey)は、第2の熱可塑性プラスチック材料で作られたストリップが埋め込まれた押出プラスチックポリマーフィルムの作成方法及び装置を開示している。
米国特許第5,687,863号(Cullen)および米国特許第5,686,161号(Cullen et al.)は、パッケージの内側に配置可能な、酸素捕捉剤を含むラベルを開示している。

低密度ポリエチレンの層と、[ポリエチレン(70%)+活性材料および酸性化材料でコーティングされた還元鉄(30%)]の層と、低密度ポリエチレンの層で構成される、3層のフィルムを作成する。このフィルムは、厚さ3〜4ミル、幅9インチである。被覆鉄は、フィルムの幅全体に広がるならば、フィルムに対して約12〜18重量%となる。被覆鉄は帯部の中間層にある。この帯部はフィルムの中央にあり、幅約4インチである。フィルム中の被覆鉄の正味含有率は、供給率(feed content)に、フィルム全体の幅に対する帯部の幅の比を掛けて、おおよそ求められる。パウチ検査方法を用いて、帯状フィルムの酸素捕捉性能を試験した。フィルムの標本を、ガスバリア性能の高い透明なPETの基材にヒートラミネートした。この積層されたフィルムと基材とをヒートシールし、7インチx7インチのパウチを形成した。このパウチの中間部には4インチの帯部があり、その帯部の両側に約1.5インチの透明窓が設けられている。パウチの幅に対する帯部の幅の比によって求めた被覆鉄の正味含有率は、6.86%と10.29%であった。シリカゲル顆粒と水から成り、水分活性0.85の水分調整剤10グラムをTyvek(登録商標)の袋に密封し、パウチの最終シール前にパウチに入れた。袋にO2/N2の混合気体300ccを注入し、約4〜4.5%の初期酸素濃度にした。酸素吸収速度を、室温で、ヘッドスペース分析器(MONCON PacCheck Model 450 Head Space Analyzer)を用いて、何度か測定した。これらの測定時における、標本による酸素吸収を表1に示す。このデータは、帯状のフィルム中に押出された被覆鉄の含有率が多い例でも、少ない例でも、酸素捕捉性能が与えられることを実証した。パウチ中の酸素濃度は時間経過とともに急速に低下した。
実験例1の袋を、酸素捕捉剤を含むラベルを有する従来のビーフジャーキーのパッケージと比較した。連続シートに酸素吸収剤の帯部を有するパッケージ用材料は、パッケージ内側で従来使用されている酸素吸収性のラベルと同程度に有効であることが分かった。
Claims (25)
- 少なくとも1つの酸素吸収剤の縦長の帯部を有するポリマーシートを備えたパッケージ用材料。
- 上記ポリマーシートが、酸素吸収剤を含有しない、少なくとも1つの縦長の実質的に透明な部分をさらに有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパッケージ用材料。
- 上記酸素吸収剤が鉄粒子に付着された電解質を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパッケージ用材料。
- 上記パッケージ用材料が複数のポリマー層を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパッケージ用材料。
- 上記ポリマーシートが、少なくとも1つの酸素バリア材料の層を上記シートの内側の層に有することを特徴とする請求項4に記載のパッケージ用材料。
- 上記バリア層が、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリ塩化ビニリデン(PVDC)、エチレンビニルアルコールコポリマー(EVOH)、ナイロンおよびポリビニルアルコールから成る群から選択された材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項5に記載のパッケージ用材料。
- 上記ポリマーシートが、少なくとも1つのポリエチレンの層を有することを特徴とする請求項4に記載のパッケージ用材料。
- ポリエチレンの層が上記酸素吸収剤を含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載のパッケージ用材料。
- 上記酸素吸収剤が上記パッケージ材料の内側の層に配置されたことを特徴とする請求項8に記載のパッケージ用材料。
- 上記少なくとも1つの酸素吸収剤の帯部の少なくとも一部に印刷が成されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパッケージ用材料。
- 連続ポリマーシートを備えたパッケージ用材料から取ったパッケージ形成用ブランク材を用いて形成された封入容器であって、上記シートが少なくとも1つの酸素吸収剤の縦長の帯部を有することを特徴とする封入容器。
- 上記パッケージ形成用ブランク材が、上記シートの縦方向を横断して取られた部分であることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の封入容器。
- 上記連続ポリマーシートが、上記酸素吸収剤を含有する帯部の少なくとも一部に印刷を有することを特徴とする請求項11に記載の封入容器。
- 袋内に入れられた物質を見るための透明領域をさらに備えたことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の封入容器。
- 上記酸素吸収剤が上記パッケージ内の酸素に作用可能な内側の層にあることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の封入容器。
- ポリマーシートを備え、このシートが少なくとも1つの均質な連続層を有し、この均質な連続層が、少なくとも1つの縦長の酸素吸収剤の帯部を有する横方向に非連続な層と接触する、酸素吸収シート材料の形成方法であって、
ポリマーの均質な連続層を押出金型で押出す工程と、
ポリマーの横方向に非連続な層を共押出する工程とを備え、
上記横方向に非連続な層の少なくとも1つの帯部が酸素吸収剤を含み、上記横方向に非連続な層の残りの部分が酸素吸収剤を含まないポリマーを有することを特徴とする方法。 - 酸素バリア層を共押出する工程をさらに備えたことを特徴とする請求項16に記載の方法。
- 上記酸素吸収剤の帯部を覆う領域に、上記材料の印刷を行う工程をさらに備えたことを特徴とする請求項16に記載の方法。
- 酸素バリアシートを上記酸素吸収シートに積層する工程をさらに備えたことを特徴とする請求項16に記載の方法。
- ポリマーの袋を備えたパッケージであって、上記袋は、上記袋のポリマーに埋め込まれた少なくとも1つの酸素吸収剤の帯と、酸素吸収剤の無い少なくとも1つの透明領域を有することを特徴とするパッケージ。
- 上記酸素吸収剤の帯に対応する領域に印刷を有することを特徴とする請求項20に記載のパッケージ。
- 上記酸素吸収剤に対応する領域の全域に印刷が成されていることを特徴とする請求項21に記載のパッケージ。
- 上記パッケージの中身を見ることが出来るように、上記透明領域の少なくとも一部は印刷が成されていないことを特徴とする請求項21に記載のパッケージ。
- 上記袋は、上記袋を形成する上記ポリマーシートの重なり部を含む背部を有し、上記袋は端部で密封されていることを特徴とする請求項20に記載のパッケージ。
- 上記袋は2つの酸素吸収剤の帯を備えたことを特徴とする請求項20に記載のパッケージ。
