Description
しかしこの方法で作成した化粧材はインクジェットインキに含有される揮発性溶媒が通気性のない樹脂板と基材シート間に挟まれた構成となるため、真空成形時の加熱により受像層中に残留したインクジェットインク成分である水分または揮発性の有機溶剤成分が樹脂板と基材シート界面で発泡する不具合を生じることがあり、真空成形用途に使用する場合は好ましい製造方法ではなかった。さらに、水性インクを使用したインクジェット方式を用いた場合では、最終成形物の樹脂板と化粧シート界面のエッジ部分から水分が浸透することでシートが剥がれ落ちる場合があり耐水性が十分ではなかった。
本発明で使用される基材シートは保護層および受像接着層を剥離可能に支持し、樹脂板に受像接着層を転写した後には剥離される樹脂シートのことである。基材シートには各種樹脂シートが使用可能であり、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリブテン、エチレンプロピレン共重合体、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、アクリル、塩化ビニル、ポリカーボネート、ポリアミド等が使用可能である。特に好ましくはポリエチレンテレフタレートを主成分とする基材シートであって、シート物性改善の目的で添加剤を含有してもよい。また、基材シートの厚みは、加工性やインクジェット印刷適正面で20μm以上が望ましく、受像接着層を転写した後は剥離除去される廃材であることから、200μm以下が望ましいがこれに限定されるものではない。また、基材シートには必要に応じ適宜公知の離型処理や帯電防止処理等を施してもよい。
図2は、本発明の化粧材の形態を示す模式断面図であり、化粧材6は保護層3および画像形成された受像接着層4を樹脂板5に熱転写したものである。
図3は、本発明の化粧材6を固定枠9により固定した後、真空成形装置の金型10の表面に対向するようにセットした状態を示す模式断面図である。化粧材6の上部にはヒーター7が設置されている。
図4は、図3において真空成形装置によって化粧材6を真空成形した状態を示す模式断面図であり、ヒーター7で化粧材6を加熱軟化させた後、真空吸気孔8により減圧し、化粧材6を金型10の表面に沿って成形したものである。
以下、実施例及び比較例により本発明を詳細に記述する。
(保護層用塗工液1)
UV硬化性アクリルシリカハイブリッド樹脂 70部(固形分30%、シリカ成分23%、Tg45℃、Mw2万)
光開始剤 1.0部(商品名;イルガキュア819、チバスペシャリティケミカル製)
メチルエチルケトン 30部
(受像接着層用塗工液1)
塩化ビニル−酢酸ビニル共重合体 20部(商品名:VAGH、ユニオンカーバイド製)
メチルエチルケトン 80部
(保護層用塗工液2)
UV硬化性アクリルシリカハイブリッド樹脂 70部(固形分30%、シリカ成分20%、Tg55℃、Mw2.5万)
光開始剤 1.0部(商品名;カヤキュアCTX、日本化薬製)
メチルエチルケトン 30部
[比較例1]厚さ75μmのアクリル樹脂製基材シートに、アクリル酸エステル樹脂15重量部を水85重量部に溶解させた塗液をメイヤーバーコーターにて乾燥時で10μmとなるように塗布、乾燥することで化粧シートを作成した。次いで得られた化粧シート表面に水性インクジェット方式で絵柄を形成したのち、得られた化粧シートの受像表面をポリメチルメタクリレート製で厚さ4mmの樹脂板表面に対向させ、2本のゴムロールを用いて化粧シートをラミネートして化粧材3を作成した。
○:鮮明で高画質であった。
△:若干インクが滲むが実用上問題ない画質が得られた。
×:鮮明な画質が得られなかった。
○:問題なく真空成形可能。
△:成形時の加熱により気泡が発生する場合がある。
×:気泡が多数発生し、実用性がない。
○:画質は変化無し。
×:完全に絵柄が剥離した。
○:変化無し。

Claims (1)
- 基材シート上に少なくとも保護層と受像接着層が順次積層された転写シートの受像接着層表面に、油性インクジェット方式で画像情報に応じてインクを吐出し画像を形成する工程と、前記画像形成された転写シートを加熱、加圧して前記受像接着層を樹脂板に熱転写して化粧材を作成する工程と、前記化粧材を真空成形して成形品を作成する工程と、前記成型品に電離放射線を照射して前記保護層を硬化する工程とからなることを特徴とする成形品製造方法。
