Description
Claims (18)
- 内視鏡の遠位端のビューポートの親水性を増大させるための装置であって、前記装置は、
i.その中に前記内視鏡の遠位端を受け入れるように構成されるスロットを有するプラズマアプリケーターであって、前記プラズマアプリケーターは、プラズマ発生領域を画成するプラズマ室を備え、前記プラズマアプリケーターは、前記プラズマ室内で前記ビューポートに隣接するプラズマ発生電界を印加するべく、電力源に電気的に接続するように構成される第1の電極を少なくとも備える、プラズマアプリケーターと、
ii.前記ビューポートの外面に水の表面張力より高い表面張力を有するようにさせるのに十分な期間にわたって、前記ビューポートに隣接するプラズマ発生電界を活性化させるように構成されるコントローラと、
を備える、装置。 - 前記スロットは、保護シュラウドを受け入れるように構成され、前記保護シュラウドは前記プラズマ発生領域を画成するプラズマ室を備え、かつ、前記ビューポートを閉じられたプラズマ室に露出させるように、前記内視鏡の遠位端を受け入れるように構成される開口部およびシールを更に備える、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ビューポートの外面に水の表面張力より高い表面張力を有するようにさせるのに十分な期間は、5分および5秒の間にある、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ビューポートの外面の表面張力は、0.08N/m超まで上げられる、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ビューポートの外面の表面張力は、0.1N/m超まで上げられる、請求項4に記載の装置。
- 少なくとも前記プラズマ室内で部分真空を確立するべく、前記プラズマ室と流動的に結合する少なくとも1つのポンプを更に備える、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記保護シュラウドは、前記プラズマ室内で前記ビューポートに隣接するプラズマ発生電磁界を印加するべく、電源に電気的に接続するように構成される第2の電極を少なくとも更に備える、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記保護シュラウドは、前記内視鏡の遠位端から、および前記プラズマアプリケーターから取り外し可能である、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記保護シュラウドは、誘電材料から形成される、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記プラズマ発生電界は、誘電体バリア放電(DBD)モードで発生させられる、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記保護シュラウドは、中空管の内周部に沿って前記開口部と前記保護シュラウドの遠位端との間に配置され、前記内視鏡を囲む寸法にされ、それによって、前記内視鏡が前記中空管内に受け入れられるときに、前記内視鏡と密封して接触するように構成されるシールを更に備える、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 内視鏡検査用の内視鏡を準備する方法であって、前記方法は、
スロット内に、前記内視鏡の少なくとも一部を取り外し可能に挿入することであって、前記一部はビューポートを含むことと、
前記ビューポートに隣接するプラズマ発生電界の形成によってプラズマを発生させることと、
前記ビューポートの外面に水の表面張力より高い表面張力を有するようにさせるのに十分な期間にわたって、前記プラズマ発生電界を維持することと、
を備える、方法。 - 前記スロットは、プラズマ発生領域を画成するプラズマ室を備え、かつ、前記ビューポートを閉じられたプラズマ室に露出させるように、前記内視鏡の遠位端を受け入れて保持するように構成される開口部およびシールを備える保護シュラウドを更に含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記ビューポートの外面に水の表面張力より高い表面張力を有するようにさせるのに十分な期間は、5分および5秒の間にある、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記ビューポートの外面の表面張力は、0.08N/m超まで上げられる、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記ビューポートの外面の表面張力は、0.1N/m超まで上げられる、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 前記プラズマを発生させる前に、少なくともプラズマ活性化区域を包含する領域内に部分真空を確立することを更に備える、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記プラズマを発生させることは、誘電体バリア放電(DBD)を通じて実現される、請求項17に記載の方法。
