Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the title lightweight sheet of excellent vibration damping performance, by adding a porous particulate ceramic material as a weight- reducing agent to an asphalt material as a base, kneading the mixture with other fillers and molding the resulting mixture into a sheet. CONSTITUTION:An asphalt material is used as a base, and a ceramic material is added as a weight-reducing agent to this base. The obtained mixture is kneaded with other necessary fillers (e.g., waste paper or mica), and the resulting mixture is molded to produce an asphalt sheet for vibration damping of a vehicle. The addition of said porous particulate ceramic material as a weight- reducing agent makes it possible to form a sheet which is relatively lightweight as a whole even when said other necessary fillers are added and to absorb a vibrational energy in good efficiency as an internal loss as a result of friction generated by vibration in the other materials and the voids and to fully exhibit sufficient vibration damping performance.

Means for Solving the Problems The asphalt sheet for vehicle vibration isolation according to the present invention has an asphalt material as its main component, to which a porous, granular ceramic material is added as a lightening agent, and other fillers are mixed therein. It is formed into a sheet shape.

Function: In this asphalt sheet, the granular ceramic material mixed into the asphalt material is porous and extremely lightweight, so even if other necessary fillers are added, the entire asphalt sheet can be made relatively lightweight, and it is also able to withstand vibrations. As a result, vibration energy can be efficiently absorbed in the form of internal loss due to friction generated between other materials and the void, and a sufficient vibration damping effect can also be achieved.

The asphalt sheet obtained in this way is lightweight as a whole because the mica is partially replaced with a porous and granular ceramic material, and the ceramic material absorbs vibration energy through internal friction. The vibration isolation properties are also extremely good.

Incidentally, it is 1.8 for straight asphalt 15%, blown asphalt 31%, asbestos 15%, and talc 39%.
When compared with a conventional asphalt sheet formed to a thickness of ~2 mm, it was found that the asphalt sheet according to the present invention has a specific gravity that is approximately 10 to 15% lower and vibration damping properties that are improved by 50 to 70%. As described above, according to the asphalt sheet for vehicle vibration isolation according to the present invention, by adding porous and granular ceramic material as a lightweight agent, it is possible to form a sheet material that is lightweight and has excellent vibration isolation properties. It is what makes it possible.
