Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a nonpollutive lightweight sheet of excellent vibration damping performance, by adding mica of a specified mesh as a vibration- damping material to an asphalt material as a base, kneading the mixture with other fillers and molding the resulting mixture into a sheet. CONSTITUTION:An asphalt material is used as a base, and mica of about 20 mesh is added as a vibration-damping material to this base. The obtained mixture is kneaded with other necessary fillers (e.g., waste paper or talc), and the resulting mixture is molded to produce an asphalt sheet for vibration damping. Unlike asbestos, the mica has no fear of causing pollution, and it is bulky and lightweight because of its size of about 20 mesh, can absorb in good efficiency a vibrational energy as in internal loss as a result of friction generated by vibration in the other materials and the voids, and can exhibit sufficient vibration damping performance.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, this asphalt sheet is undesirable because asbestos, which is mixed as a vibration damping material, causes pollution problems. - Means for Solving the Problems The asphalt sheet for vehicle vibration isolation according to the present invention has asphalt material as its main component, to which about 20 meshes of mica is added as a vibration damping material and other fillers are mixed. It is then molded into a sheet.

Function: With this asphalt sheet, there is no risk of mica mixed into the asphalt material causing pollution, and it is bulky and extremely lightweight at about 20 meshes, so even if other necessary fillers are added, the overall weight is relatively low. Not only can it be made lightweight, but it can also efficiently absorb vibrational energy as internal loss due to the friction that occurs between other materials and the voids caused by vibration, and as a result, it can also exhibit a sufficient vibration-proofing effect.

As the asphalt material that is the main component, it is best to use a combination of straight asphalt and blown asphalt, which have good adhesion to iron plates and are inexpensive.
It is preferable to use a paper made to about 0 mesh.

Other fillers include waste paper such as newspapers as fillers, porous granular ceramic materials to reduce weight, butadiene rubber to improve cold resistance, and even talc can be added as a lightweight agent if it is in a very small amount. good. Each composition consists of 20-30% straight asphalt, 20-30% blown asphalt, and 10-25% mica with about 20 meshes.

, Mica is preferably mixed at a ratio of about 12%. These compositions are heat-melted and mixed well, then calendered to form a sheet with a thickness of about 1.5 to 3 mm, and after cooling, the mixture is applied to the laying surface. What is necessary is just to cut it into a predetermined shape.

The asphalt sheet obtained in this way is filled with bulky mica of about 20 mesh as a vibration damping material instead of asbestos, and partially replaced with talc, which solves the pollution problem and makes it lightweight overall. At the same time, the mica becomes FA due to internal friction! By absorbing the llI energy, the vibration damping properties are also extremely good.
