However, in an engine equipped with the valve 1 side of this scale, the valve mechanism is located in the cylinder head, so if the pump drive mechanism described above is installed there, the cylinder head will become too large. It is difficult to lay out the entire engine in a well-balanced manner. In a multi-cylinder engine in which a balancer parallel to the crankshaft is installed near the cylinder block, a pump driving cam is integrally formed on a part of the balancer shaft that integrally connects the two weights of the balancer. The present invention is characterized in that the pump is driven by a pump driving cam.As described above, the present invention is directed to a part of the balancer shaft that integrally connects the unbalanced weights of the balancer near the cylinder block. A pump driving cam is installed in the cam, and the pump is driven by this cam, so the pump driving mechanism can be configured without enlarging the area near the cylinder head, which tends to be large due to the valve mechanism. An embodiment of the present invention illustrated in the drawings will be described below. An engine 1 includes a cylinder block 2, a crankcase 3 below the cylinder block 2, and a cylinder head 4 above the cylinder block 2. Three cylinders 5 are arranged in series in the cylinder block 2, and a piston 6 is fitted into each cylinder 5 so as to be movable up and down.
A crankshaft 7 is rotatably supported on the mating surface between the piston 6 and the crankcase 3.
is connected with connecting rod 8, and screw 1
- The vertical movement of the crankshaft 7 is transmitted to the crankshafts V71 to 7 via the connecting rod 8.
is rotated rAaJ. A balance weight is attached to the opposite side of the crank pin 9 that connects the rank shaft 7 and the connecting rod 8 in a relatively rotatable manner. Further, a balancer drive gear 10 is integrally fitted to the tip of the crank shirt 1-7, and a balancer shaft 12 of a balancer 11 is engaged with the balancer drive gear 10. When the crankshaft 7 rotates, the balancer 11
are rotated in opposite directions at the same rotational speed. Furthermore, unbalanced weights 14a and 14c are integrally attached to the shaft portion 13 of the balancer 11 in a layout relationship as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, corresponding to the positions of both the front and rear cylinders 5a and 5C. (no unbalanced weight is attached to the position corresponding to the medium-heat cylinder 5b), and the crankshaft 7
The mass of the unbalanced weight (not shown) and the unbalanced weight 1
The quality ω of 4 is set to half the value of the reciprocating mass of the engine 1, and the inertial force due to the reciprocating 7181 and the single-mouth couple due to the reciprocating mass are applied to the balanced weight and unbalanced weight 14 of the crankshaft 7. J: It is now canceled out. Furthermore, a fuel pump driving cam 15 is provided at the center of the shaft portion 13 of the balancer 11, and three large-diameter pivot portions 16 are formed in the balancer 11 in the axial direction, and each of the pivot portions 16 has a fuel pump drive cam 15. Lubricating oil passages 17 oriented in the diametrical direction are provided, and a lubricating oil passage 18 is provided that communicates these lubricating oil passages 17 with each other.
It is rotatably supported at 9. Moreover, a fuel pump drive cam 15 is integrally formed on the balun shaft 13 at a location corresponding to the central cylinder 5, and a balancer force bar 19 is located outside of this cam 15.
A fuel pump 20 is disposed at. Thus, the fuel pump 20 includes an upper pump body 2113 and a lower pump body 22 each having an intake port 23 and a discharge port 24, a bushing rod 25 mounted on the bottom pump body 22 so as to be able to open vertically, and A slipper 27 connected to the lower end via a bottle 26, a diaphragm 28 whose center portion is removed at the two ends of the bushing rod 25, and a diaphragm 28 interposed between the lower pump body 22 and the slipper 27. pressure 1i1
:+Ile spring 29, etc., unilaterally flows the fuel r1 from the suction port 23 to the compression 21Ile spring 30 interposed in the lower pump body 22 and the diaphragm 28, and the diaphragm chamber 31 partitioned by the diaphragm 28. It consists of a fuel intake valve 32 and a fuel discharge valve 33 that allows fuel to flow unilaterally from the diaphragm chamber 31 to the discharge port 24.
4 to be integrally connected to each other. Since the illustrated embodiment is constructed as described above, when the engine 1 is in operation and the crankshaft 7 is driven to rotate, the balancer 11 is rotated at the same rotational speed in the opposite direction to the rotational direction of the crankshaft 7. is rotationally driven, and the inertial force and inertial couple due to the reciprocating members E of the piston 6, connecting rod 8, etc. are canceled by the balance 1,000 fl of the crankshaft 7 and the unbalanced weight 14, and the engine 1
The vibration of is suppressed to a magnitude of 11]. Further, along with the rotation of this balancer 11, the fuel pump drive cam 15 is rotationally driven, and accordingly, the slipper
27, pin 26, and bushing rod 25, the diaphragm 28 is reciprocated up and down fIJ, and the volume of the dicerphragm chamber 31 is periodically increased and decreased, so that the fuel pump 20 is in an operating state. Furthermore, in the balancer 11, the inertia couple caused by the reciprocating members td of the piston 6, the connecting rod 8, etc. Since it is only necessary to provide the fuel pump drive cam 15 at the center of the shaft portion 13 that integrally connects this unbalanced weight 14 to the phase U, the drive mechanism of the fuel r1 pump 20 can be easily constructed at a low cost. can do. Furthermore, the fuel pump 20 is not disposed on the cylinder head 4, which has a wider width due to the provision of a valve mechanism, and is instead disposed on the side of the cylinder block 2, which has a relatively narrow width, so that the width of the engine 1 is reduced. Expansion is avoided, and the engine 1 is compact and well-balanced. In addition, a pivot portion 1G of the person (¥) is disposed near the fuel pump drive cam 15, and the cam reaction force moving toward the fuel pump drive cam 15 is supported by this pivot portion 16, so that the shaft portion 13 of the balancer 11 is 6ff <tit is the rigidity that can withstand the torsional rigidity caused by the unbalanced weights 14 on both sides, ? Although the pump driven by the cam is a fuel pump, it may also be a lubricating oil pump or a cooling water pump. Since the pump drive can be configured at 614% without enlarging the area near the head, the entire engine can be laid out in a well-balanced and compact layout. Moreover, the crankshaft is approximately the same length, reducing the unbalanced weight of the part corresponding to the cylinder. Since a cam is provided on the balancer shaft that connects the weight to its partner and the pump is driven by this cam, the pump drive mechanism can be simplified and the cost and weight can be reduced.
