して適当ではなかつた。また、円筒形の箱を多段
に積み重ねるタイプの場合にはシールのために使
用するゴムが劣化し易く、また、詰替等で移動せ
しめるのに大型クレーン等を常備することが不可
欠であり、大型の脱硫塔には不適当であつた。

脱硫剤が充填されていることから、脱硫塔に入つ
た原料ガスが必ず脱硫剤に接触することになり、
未脱硫のまま流出口から排出される不都合を生じ
ることがない等多くの利点を有するもので、特
に、大容量の脱硫塔が容易に可能となり極めて有
用な考案である。
