Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 [産業上の利用分野] 本発明は、D RAWディスクやに−DRAWディスク
等の光記録媒体に関する。
[発明の概要] 本発明は、DRAWディスクやに−DRAWディスク等
で、中心にクランプ用ハブを有する光記録媒体において
、クランプ用ハブの接合を、熱もしくは超音波によるか
しめで行うことにより、クランプ用ハブ接合時の位置合
せを容易にし、クランプ用ハブ中心とディスクグループ
中心との偏芯を小さ(抑えるとともに、クランプ用ハブ
の接合強度を高め、光記録媒体内周部の光学特性の低r
ヒを防ぎ、生産性を著しく向上させるものである。
[従来の技術] 従来のDRAWディスクやに−DRAWディスク等で中
心にクランプ用ハブを有する光記録媒体の製造は、まず
アクリル樹脂、ポリカーボネート樹脂等の透明熱可塑性
樹脂を用いて射出成形により表面にグループまたはピッ
トを有するディスク基板をつくる。
この表面に光記録メディアをスピンフートあるいはスパ
ッタリングあるいは真空蒸着等で成戻した後、ディスク
の貼り合せなUV接着剤等を用いて行い、最後に中心部
に、接着あるいは熱融着あるいは超音波溶着でクランプ
用ノ・プな取シ付けるが、グループ中心との位置合せは
、中心穴ガイドあるいはグループまたはピットを画像処
理してノ・ブの中心と合せる方法が行われている。
[発明が解決しようとする課題] しかし、前述の従来技術ではディスク中心穴へのクラン
プ用ハブ取υ付けにおいて、中心穴ガイドの場合、グル
ープまたはピント中心に対する射出成形型内で打ち抜か
れるディスク内径中心の偏芯、ガタの発生等により接合
されたクランプ用・・ブの偏芯は大きく、傾きも出る傾
向にあった。
偏芯な小さ(するために、画像処理により位置決めする
装置を用いてクランプ用)・プ位置合せを行う方法も検
討されているが、装置コストが著しく高(、生産性も著
しく低いものである。
また、クランプ用)・ブの接合強度も充分とはいえず、
クランプ用ノ・ブのはがれの原因となっていた。
さらに、熱融着及び超音波溶着では、溶着部に大きなひ
ずみを残し、光記録媒体内周部の光学特性の低下を起こ
していた。
[課題を解決するための手段] 本発明の光記録媒体は、クランプ用ノ・プの接合を、熱
もしくは超音波によるかしめで行うことを特徴とする。
[作用] 本発明によれば、メディアディスクとクランプ用ハフの
接合を熱もしくは超音波によるかしめで行うことにより
、ディスクとクランプ用ノ・ブの位置合せが容易に行え
、偏芯を小さ(するとともに、クランプ用)・プの接合
強度を高め、ディスク内周部の光学特性の低下を防ぎ、
生産性を著しく向上させ得る。
[実施例] 第1図及び第2図は、本発明の実施例の光記録媒体の構
造及び製造工程を説明するための断面図である。
第1図において、光記録ディスクは例えばポリカーボネ
ート樹脂を用いて射出成形により製作された基板1にメ
ディア付けを行った後、保護用のディスク2を接着剤で
貼り合せたものである。
この光記録ディスクは内周部にかしめのための凸部1α
を有する。この凸部1αは成形時に同時に形成されるも
ので、成形金型を加工する事で容易に付加する事が出来
、記録グループまたはピッドに対する位置関係も精度良
く一定の範囲内に管理する事が可能である。
この光記録ディスクに対応するクランプ用ハフ4はメタ
ル単体あるいはメタルインサートプラスチックあるいは
プラスチック磁石あるいはメタルコンパウンド樹脂等で
ある。メタル単体ノ・プは切削加工もしくは型鍛造で容
易にそして精度良く加工できる。メタルインサートノ\
プ、プラスチック磁石ハブ及びメタルコンパウンド樹脂
ハブも射出成形や押し出し成形により容易に精度良(製
作できる。
これらのディスクとクランプ用ハブ4の接合はディスク
の凸部1aをかしめ部として行われる。
第1図は、ディスクの凸部1aにクランプ用ハフ4を挿
入し、ディスクの凸部1αの先端に超音波振動をする金
属体(ホーン)5を接触させ、かしめを行う例である。
この様にディスクとクランプ用ハブの接合を超音波によ
るかしめで行った光記録媒体の偏芯精度は20μm以下
に安定して抑えることが可能となり、クランプ用ハブと
メディアデイ、各りの接合強度も高まり、生産性も著し
く向上した。
また、光記録媒体内周部はクランプ用ハブ接合時の熱や
ひずみの影響を受けることな(、光学特性も接合前後で
低下は見られなかった。
さらに熱によるかしめで接合を行った場合も前記と同様
なことは言うまでもない。
[発明の効果] 以上述べたように本発明によれば、中心にクランプ用ハ
ブを有する光記録媒体において、クランプ用ハブの接合
を、熱もしくは超音波によるかしめで行うことにより、
クランプ用ハブ接合時の位置合せを容易にし、クランプ
用ハブ中心とディスクグループ中心との偏芯を小さく抑
えるとともに、クランプ用ハブの接合強度を高め、光記
録媒体内周部の光学特性の低下を防ぎ、生産性を著しく
向上させる効果がある。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. (1)中心にクランプ用ハブを有する光記録媒体におい
    て、クランプ用ハブの接合を、熱もしくは超音波による
    かしめで行うことを特徴とする光記録媒体。
  2. (2)クランプ用ハブの材料が、メタル単体あるいはメ
    タルインサートプラスチックあるいはプラスチック磁石
    あるいはメタルコンパウンド樹脂であることを特徴とす
    る請求項1記載の光記録媒体。
