チツプ構造を示す平面図および断面図である。 １は半導体基板、１ＡはＮ−層、２は第１受光
用拡散層、３，３ｂは第２受光用拡散層、１０は
基台、１２は回転軸、４は受光体、２２は回転ス
リツト板、２７は発光体である。

- 基台１０に回転自在に設けられた回転軸１２に
設けられ複数の回転スリツトを有する回転スリツ
ト板２２と、前記回転スリツト板２２を挟持する
位置に配設された発光体２７および受光体２０と
を備えた光学式エンコーダにおいて、前記受光体
２０を構成する半導体基板１と、前記半導体基板
１のＮ−層１Ａ上に形成され近似三角波信号を出
力する第１受光用拡散層２および矩形波信号を出
力するための第２受光用拡散層３，３ｂとを備え
、前記半導体基板１の厚さＤを約０．２５mm〜０
．３０mmとしたことを特徴とする光学式エンコー
ダ。
