第１〜７図は本考案に係るトルクコンバータの
一実施例を示す図であり、第１図はその要部の断
面図、第２図はそのステータ羽根車の斜視図、第
３，４図は第１図におけるＹ―Ｙ矢視断面図、第
５，６図はそのステータ羽根車の断面形状および
作動流体の流れを状態別にそれぞれ示す断面図、
第７図はその作用の説明するためのトルクコンバ
ータの特性を示すグラフである。 １……トルクコンバータ、３……ポンプ羽根車
、４……出力軸、６……タービン羽根車、７……

Claims (1)
- エンジンに駆動されて回転する入力軸に連結さ
れたポンプ羽根車と、出力軸に連結されたタービ
ン羽根車と、これらのポンプ羽根車およびタービ
ン羽根車の間に配設され、ケースに取付けられた
ステータ羽根車と、ポンプ羽根車の回転により、
ポンプ羽根車からタービン羽根車、さらにステー
タ羽根車を経て再びポンプ羽根車へと循環する作
動油と、を備えたトルクコンバータにおいて、前
記ステータ羽根車をタービン羽根車に対向する第
１ステータ羽根車とポンプ羽根車に対向する第２
ステータ羽根車から構成し、作動油から受ける圧
力によつて、第１ステータ羽根車を所定範囲内、
軸まわりに回転スライドさせるようにし、さらに
、回転スライドする側の羽根車が、所定範囲の一
方側にあるとき、作動油の流れを変え、また、所
定範囲の他方側にあるとき、作動油の流れを変え
ないように第１ステータ羽根車と第２ステータ羽
根車との組み合わせを可変にしたことを特徴とす
るトルクコンバータ。
