If the configuration of [9], [10] or [11] is adopted, the plate conveyance speed can be increased in the process below the desired process, or the plate conveyance speed can be increased sequentially in the process below the desired process, or It is possible to operate as desired, such as slowing down or slowing down. The details of the present invention will be explained below based on one embodiment shown in FIG. In FIG. 1, in automatic plate feeding step A, printing original plates 1 each having a photoconductive photosensitive layer coated on an aluminum plate or other support are stacked in a plate stacking section 2 with the photosensitive layer facing upward. The plates 1 separated one by one from the plate stacking section 2 are transported horizontally by a transport means 3 such as a roller. A corona charger 4 installed in the transport system charges the plate photosensitive layer with positive or negative charges. The plate 1 charged in the charging step B stops at a prescribed position on the exposure table 5. In the exposure step C, a document table 6 is installed in a direction perpendicular to the plate conveyance surface, and a large-print or clean-print document of, for example, the size of one newspaper page is placed thereon.
At the same time that the plate 1 stops on the exposure table 5, a light source 7 such as a lamp is automatically turned on, and the original image is transferred onto the plate 1 through an optical system such as a lens 8, a reflecting prism or a reflecting mirror 9, for example, as a life-sized image. A latent image such as a line drawing and/or halftone dots due to positive or negative charges is formed on the photosensitive layer of the plate. After this exposure process C, plate 1
is transported horizontally by a transport means 3 such as a roller, and sent to a developing step D. In the developing step D, the plate 1 is passed through a developer tank 11 containing a liquid developer 10 in which positively or negatively charged toner particles are dispersed in, for example, a hydrocarbon solvent. Edition 1
A toner image is formed on the electrostatic latent image by contacting with negatively or positively charged particles in the developer tank 11 for a certain period of time. After this developing step D, the plate 1 enters a rinsing step E. In order to remove excess toner adhering to the non-image area of the photosensitive layer, the plate surface is washed with a shower 13 using, for example, a hydrocarbon solvent 12 (which may be the same as the solvent of the developer). After cleaning with the rinsing liquid 12, the rinsing liquid layer accumulated on the surface of the horizontal plate is squeezed 14 and removed using a squeeze roller such as a mirror roller or by blowing pressurized air. do. Thereafter, plate 1 enters drying step F. Drying process F
In order to completely remove the rinsing liquid 12 on the photosensitive layer of the printing plate, a drying container 15 whose temperature is controlled at a constant temperature is used.
The plate 1 is passed through the container (preferably separated from the outside by an air curtain). Next, in a fixing step G, the image area toner formed on the printing plate is fixed by a heat fixing section 16 (eg, a heating roller, a heating plate, or a combination of both).
By ensuring that the drying container 15 has a sufficient capacity, it is also possible to provide a fixing function during the drying process. That is, after the rinse liquid 12 is completely removed, the toner in the image area is fixed and fixed by hot air or the like. In the cooling step H, the plate 1 heated by heat fixing is cooled to room temperature by passing through a cooling section 17 that receives cooling air or the like. In the figure, 18 is a pump for circulating the developer 10 in the developer tank 19, 20 is a return tank for returning the used developer 10 to the tank 19, 2
1 is a pump for circulating the rinsing liquid 12 in the rinsing liquid tank 22; 23 is the rinsing liquid 12 in use;
A return tank for returning the water to the tank 22 is shown. In addition,
When the rinsing liquid 12 is used in circulation, an electrode with a charge opposite to that of the toner may be used in the tank 12 or the like to cause the toner in the rinsing liquid to adhere and to purify the rinsing liquid. 24 is a hot air blower, 25 is a cold air blower, and 14' is a developer squeeze section. In the exposure step C in the present invention, laser light such as a semiconductor laser, argon ion, helium-neon, etc. can also be used. It is also possible to adopt a transmission exposure method, and enlargement exposure using a so-called micro film is also possible. In this case, unlike the illustrated embodiment, the document table 6 may be installed in a direction parallel to the exposure table 5. In the rinsing step E of the present invention, a rinsing liquid pool is formed on the horizontal guide surface over which the plate 1 passes horizontally, using the rinsing liquid 12 flowing out from the shower 13, for example, and in this rinsing liquid pool. Preferably, rinsing is performed by passing plate 1 through the plate. In this case, in order to form a rinsing liquid pool on the horizontal guide surface, an appropriate means for forming a liquid pool can be employed, such as blowing air from the front and back positions of the liquid pool to hold the liquid pool. This liquid pool method is
It can also be employed as a developer reservoir means in the developing step D, and the appropriate means for forming the aforementioned reservoir can also be employed in the developing step D. In addition to the above, the fixing step G in the present invention can of course employ non-contact heat fixing using an infrared heater or the like. Furthermore, in the cooling process H, it goes without saying that the contact type cooling means for the cooling plate can be employed separately or in combination with the above-mentioned non-contact type cooling means using cooling air. The printing original plate 1 used in the present invention is made by subjecting the surface of an aluminum plate to electrolytic polishing, anodizing, graining, and other surface roughening treatments, and then applying a photoconductive organic pigment to the roughened surface using a phenol resin. Preferred is an electrophotographic photoreceptor coated with a photoconductive photosensitive layer having copper phthalocyanine dispersed in a novolac resin. The developing solution 10 used in the present invention is a carrier liquid made of an electrically insulating liquid containing a coloring agent (carbon black, copper phthalocyanine, etc.), a coating agent, and a charge suppressor, particularly a coating agent. An electrophotographic liquid developer using one or more of polyethylene, polypropylene, ethylene copolymer, and polypropylene copolymer as a negative charge control agent and a negative charge control agent consisting of a phosphate ester surfactant as a charge suppressor. preferable. However, the developer used in the present invention is not limited to the above, and can be replaced with any developer such as a negative-positive developer, a positive-positive developer, etc., depending on the exposure method. The original plate 1 obtained by the method of the present invention has toner attached and fixed to the image area on the photosensitive layer,
Thereafter, the non-image area is eluted, rinsed and rubberized, and then dried to complete plate making. That is, the photosensitive layer in the non-image area (the area to which no toner is attached) of the plate 1 is removed with an eluent, rinsed, the rubber liquid is removed, and the plate is dried to complete plate making. A typical example of the etching method is shown in FIG. 2. As shown in FIG. 2, an etching solution 26 made of an alkaline solution controlled at a constant temperature is moved horizontally from above the surface of the plate. shower 27
Etching step I in which the photosensitive layer in the non-image area is swollen by supplying the photosensitive layer in the non-image area, and a brushing roller 28 formed of nylon or the like on the surface of the plate that horizontally moves the photosensitive layer in the non-image area swollen in this etching process I. (It is preferable to rotate in the same direction as the plate traveling direction.) At the same time, remove the rinsing liquid 2.
A first rinsing step J in which 9 is supplied onto one surface of the plate using a shower 30 format to elute unnecessary photosensitive layers, and similarly to the first rinsing step J, a brushing roller 31,
A second rinsing process K consists of a rinsing liquid 32 and its shower 33, but a rinsing liquid tank 34 for circulating use is provided separately from the first rinsing liquid tank 35. After the rinsing process K, a shower 36 type is applied on the plate 1 surface. A lithographic printing plate comprising the following steps: a gumming step L in which a thinner and more uniform layer of gum liquid 37 is applied, and a drying step M having a cooling section 38 in which the gumming layer is dried with hot air. Etching method can be adopted. In addition, in Fig. 2, 39 is a pump,
40 indicates a blower. As mentioned above, by directly connecting the original plate 1 made by the method of the present invention to an etching device that subsequently performs etching processing, a fully automatic direct plate-making machine that processes the entire process continuously can also be used. It is possible.
