    オフ時刻確定用のセツトキーを有するキー入力部
    と、 前記オン時刻を記憶するオン時刻記憶領域と前
    記オフ時刻を記憶するオン時刻記憶領域とを有す
    る記憶部と、 時間を計測するとともに、前記記憶部に記憶さ
    れたオン時刻とオフ時刻に基づいて外部機器にオ
    ン・オフ信号を出力する時間計測部と、 この時間計測部で計測される現在時刻と前記オ
    ン・オフ時刻を切り換え表示する表示部と、 を備えたプログラムタイマにおいて、 前記セツトキーからの確定信号に応答してオン
    時刻確定かオフ時刻確定かを判別する確定判別部
    と、 この確定判別部からのオン時刻確定判別信号と
    時刻設定キーからの時刻設定信号とが共に入力さ
    れたときに前記記憶部のオフ時刻記憶領域内のデ
