Conventionally, in an electrogalvanizing apparatus, as shown in FIG. 2, a steel plate 9 is sequentially guided by a conductor roll 10 disposed in a plating liquid bath 5 and a deflector roll 8 supported above the conductor roll 10. The galvanizing process is being carried out while being transported.
As shown in FIG. 3, the conductor roll 10 described above has a large diameter section 13 formed at the center of the body 12 of the roll body 11, which has an inverted mountain-shaped cross section with an inner circumferential surface smaller in width than an outer circumferential surface. A conductor 20 formed into an annular shape and made of an acid-resistant alloy (such as Hastelloy) is fitted, and a coating layer 3 having approximately the same thickness as the conductor 20 is fitted.
0 is provided and adhered to the slope 21 of the conductor 20. This coating layer 30 is made of urethane elastomer or rubber, which has excellent abrasion resistance, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance.

The conductor roll 10 described above has a conductor 20
However, since the urethane elastomer or rubber of the covering layer 30 has a higher coefficient of thermal expansion than the material alloy of the conductor 20, the conductor is heated by the covering layer 30. 20 is pushed up, and as a result, the conductor 20
There is a problem in that the surface of the iron plate that is sent in contact with the steel plate is easily scratched.

Furthermore, when the conductor 20 is pushed up as described above, the joint between the conductor 20 and the coating layer 30 peels off, and the plating liquid that enters through this gap corrodes the roll body 11, reducing its durability. There is a problem.

As the materials for the first sealant 34 and the second sealant 36, it is necessary to select and use materials that have good adhesion to the material for the covering layer 30, which will be described later, and the material for the covering layer 30 should be urethane. When the material is an elastomer, epoxy resin is most suitable, and when the material of the covering layer 30 is rubber, hard natural rubber (ebonite) is most suitable.

Further, it is preferable that the first sealing material 34 and the second sealing material 36 are not made of the above-mentioned materials alone, but are mixed with other materials. For example, the first sealing material 34 may contain an appropriate filler. The second sealing material 36 contains glass fiber as a reinforcing agent.

In the conductor roll formed as described above, since the cushion layer 32 is interposed between the slope 21 of the conductor 20 and the coating layer 30, the coating layer 30 is heated when the conductor 20 is energized. Even when the conductor 20 expands, the force pushing up the conductor 20 is absorbed by the cushion layer 32, so that the pushing up force is alleviated.

As explained above, according to this invention, the cushion layer alleviates the push-up of the conductor due to the difference in thermal expansion coefficient between the conductor of the conductor roll and the covering layer. Not only does this prevent the iron plate being sent in contact with the conductor from being damaged due to abnormal contact with the conductor, but the pushing up force is alleviated and the joint between the conductor and the coating layer peels off. Therefore, the roll body will not be corroded due to penetration of the plating liquid, and a conductor roll with good performance during use and excellent durability can be obtained.
