In a rocker shaft unit assembly device that forms a rocker shaft unit by mounting rocker arms and coil springs on each rocker shaft, a coil spring supply device and a rocker arm supply device separate and supply fill springs one by one. A supply device for the rocker shaft and a cam cap are sequentially disposed on the conveyance path, and a conveyance mechanism is provided on the conveyance path to sequentially convey the installed parts of the rocker shaft in a predetermined order. At the end of each rocker shaft, insert a dummy shaft with a smaller diameter than the rocker shaft into the mounting hole of the mounting part, align each mounting part, and then press fit each rocker shaft into the mounting hole of each mounting part to form the dummy shaft. A rocker shaft insertion mechanism section is provided for extracting the rocker shaft from the mounting hole of each mounting component and inserting each rocker shaft into a predetermined push-in position in the mounting hole of each mounting component.
