Claims (1)

  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 プラテンカバー（圧板）の内面に所定の色に着
    色された着色部材を使用し、前記プラテンカバー
    及びプラテン上に載置された原稿を照射する投光
    装置と、前記プラテンカバーを照射した際に得ら
    れる反射光を読み取るＣＣＤイメージセンサとを
    有し、原稿を走査することによつて読み取つた出
    力信号を用いることにより、画像信号の濃度差に
    よつて前記原稿と前記プラテンカバーとを区別し
    て、原稿サイズを検知する原稿サイズ検知装置に
    おいて、 前記原稿と前記プラテンカバーとの境界点を検
    知する検知手段と、 前記検知手段によつて検知した境界点と、前記
    境界点の前後の画像信号を比較し、前記検知手段
    による境界点検知の正否を判定する判定手段とを
    備えたことを特徴とする原稿サイズ検知装置。
