本発明は新規な育毛・発毛促進料に関するもの
であり、皮膚刺激のない安全なものである。 従来、育毛・発毛促進料には各種の化合物、生
薬等の抽出エキス等が適用されているが、顕著な
効果を示すものは殆んどなく、またある程度効果
を有するものは皮膚炎を起す程刺激が強く連続使
用が困難である等の欠点があつたが、本発明者は
種々実験研究の結果、このような欠点のない本発
明を得たのである。 本発明は、蔓荊子または辛夷の生薬を水溶性有
機溶媒または水溶性有機溶媒を50重量%以上含有
する含水水溶性有機溶媒抽出した生薬エキスを少
なくとも一種以上含有することを特徴とする育
毛・発毛促進料に関するものである。 本発明に適用される育毛・発毛促進料を得る方
法としては、蔓荊子または辛夷の生薬100gを、
例えばメタノール、エタノール、プロパノール、
ブタノール等の一級アルコール、またはアセト
ン、テトラヒドロフラン、ジオキサンの有機溶媒
単独、または前記一級アルコールまたはアセト
ン、テトラヒドロフラン、ジオキサンを50重量%
以上含有する含水有機溶媒1で2時間づつ3回
温浸抽出する。これら抽出エキスを合わせ(合計
3)、吸引ロ過後、溶媒を除く為減圧下濃縮乾
固し、粘稠状の生薬エキスを得る。得られた生薬
エキスをそのまま、あるいは適宜の溶媒等で溶解
分散希釈せしめ基剤中に配合し本発明の育毛・発
毛促進料を得る。 ここで本発明に係る育毛・発毛促進料の有効成
分として含有される蔓荊子、辛夷の生薬エキスの
一種以上の含有量は0.1〜5.0重量%、好まししく
は0.5〜2.0重量%である。 本発明に適用される蔓荊子、辛夷よりの抽出生
薬エキスの一種以上を含有する育毛・発毛促進料
は下記の表−1に示すマウスの毛成長の密度を測
定する方法即ち試験法において他の育毛・発毛
促進料と言われている物質と比較して顕著な効果
が示されている。これは前記生薬よりの抽出生薬
エキスの成分が毛根を刺激し、毛根周囲の血行を
より盛んにし、代謝をより良好にした結果であ
る。 同様に、各種溶媒で抽出した蔓荊子及び辛夷の
生薬エキスについての育毛、発毛促進効果を表−
2に示す。 試験法の簡単な説明 第7週令のddy系マウスを用いて、1群を10匹
とし、7群作り、これらの背部の2.0cm×2.0cmの
広さに抜毛した部位に検体を0.3gづつ毎日塗布
した後、9日目、13日目に当該部位の毛成長の密
度を色差計を用いて白色増加度としてとらえ、従
来の比較物質(ビタミンE)及びコントロール
(95%エタノール溶液)と比較する。

を有する男性(年令36才)の円形脱毛症患者に検
体を1日3回(1回に3〜5g)塗布したとこ
ろ、3ケ月後頭頂部及び側頭部の脱毛部位にうぶ
毛を生じ、6ケ月後には硬毛を生じたが完治まで
