In response to light, the former type of fabric reflects light strongly, making it difficult to obtain a high-quality luster, while the latter type of fabric absorbs light inside the fabric, resulting in a deep, high-quality finish. It is possible to obtain a fabric with a gloss of . The present inventors have aimed at the latter type of fabric, and their particular aim is that 50% or more of the flat fibers present have a long axis with an angle of 30° or more with respect to the fabric surface. It is aimed at fabrics that have stood the test of time, and is characterized by the method of obtaining such fabrics. In other words, in order to make more than half of the flat fibers present in the fabric stand at an angle of 30 degrees or more,
As the starting yarn that gives the flat fibers that exist there,
A multi-layer laminated flat composite fiber having a cross section of 7 or more layers, each layer being laminated at an angle to the major axis of the cross section of the flat composite fiber, and each layer having a lamination surface. Using multilayer laminated flat conjugate fibers that are flat in the direction, the fibers are woven so that the major axis thereof is substantially parallel to the fabric surface, and then the layers of the conjugate fibers are peeled or one component is removed. It has been found that more than half of the flat fibers present in the fabric can be erected at an angle of 30° or more. The flatness (longest axis/longest shortest axis) of the flat cross-section multilayer composite fiber, which is the starting yarn of the present invention, is 2 or more, preferably 3 or more, so that the fiber can be woven as parallel to the fabric surface as possible. Preferably. In addition, the layers divided in the minor axis direction of the starting yarn should be divided almost parallel to the minor axis to prevent remaining flat fibers from delamination or removal of one component later. It is preferable because it is easy to stand up.
Further, the number of layers in the flat cross-section multilayer composite fiber, which is the starting yarn of the present invention, must be 7 or more, that is, 3 or more layers of component A and 4 or more layers of component B of the composite components. The reason for this is that even in flat multilayer composite fibers, if the number of layers is less than 7, the degree of flatness of the flat fibers remaining after delamination or removal of one component is small, and even if they are left standing, they will not emit light. This is because the absorption effect is small. The number of layers is preferably 9 or more, more preferably 11 or more, and the starting yarn is a multilayer composite fiber. Furthermore, after peeling or removing one component, each fiber stands flat and almost vertically, but in order to do so,
As shown in the attached Figure 1, each layer constituting the composite fiber must be flat in the laminated plane direction before peeling or one component removal. The gaps between the flat cross-section fibers formed by component removal become deeper, allowing deep and vivid dyeing.

It has been found that by weaving in parallel, the remaining flat fibers after delamination or removal of one component can be maintained at the desired level. In particular, in the case of delamination, adjacent flat fibers stand almost vertically after delamination, but on the other hand, when a component is extracted and removed, the remaining flat fibers tend to fall down, so the layer on the side of the component to be extracted is Forming a thin layer (i.e., reducing the composite ratio,
20% by weight or less) is desirable. For example, according to the former method, that is, the delamination method, 80% or more of the remaining flat fibers may exist at an angle of 45° or more, and 70% or more may exist at an angle of 60° or more.

A plain woven fabric was woven using 75d/5f yarns of flat multilayer composite fibers consisting of layers with an oblateness of about 2.7 at a diameter yarn density of 126 yarns/inch and a weft yarn density of 110 yarns/inch. This fabric was then treated with a dilute aqueous solution of NaOH to remove the B polymer portion, yielding a fabric according to the invention as shown in FIG. In this woven fabric, approximately 80% of the flat fibers made of polymer A were erected at an angle of 35° to 45° with respect to the woven fabric surface.
