[Detailed description of the invention] This invention is achieved by selectively connecting various types of heads, each with its own processing, to the machine.
This invention relates to a machine tool that can perform peripheral machining, drilling, cutting, grooving, etc. using this machine, and particularly relates to its head support device. As one of the prior art, the Utility Application filed by the applicant in 1982-
There are ideas described in No. 39906 and Utility Model Application Publication No. 171304/1983. The gist of this idea is as follows. That is, a plurality of heads are mounted in parallel on a cross column installed horizontally on the machine base in a removable and horizontally movable manner, and any one of the heads is selectively connected to the drive system. , a divided column is provided by partially dividing the horizontal center of the cross column, the divided column is attached to the machine base so as to be tiltable in the longitudinal and horizontal directions, and the head supported by the divided column is connected to the drive system. This is a head support device for a woodworking machine that is connected to the head of a woodworking machine.

The present invention is constructed in this manner so that the divided column provided at the center of the cross column can swing freely in both the front, rear, left and right directions, and the center of rotation of both swing movements is set directly above the center of the head. Therefore, when the head is oscillated, the amount of vertical deviation of the head is smaller than in the conventional device. Since the rocking motion is symmetrical in the left and right directions, the program of the NC device can be easily configured.

Multiple heads are mounted in parallel on a cross column installed horizontally on the machine base, allowing them to be removably hooked up and moved laterally.
In the apparatus in which any one of the heads is selectively connected to the drive system, the horizontal center of the cross column is partially divided to provide a divided column, and the divided column is attached to the machine base. At the same time, a tilting mechanism is provided to rotate and tilt the divided column relative to the machine base, and the tilting mechanism includes a disc gear that rotates around a vertical shaft provided directly above the center of the head connected to the drive system. A long hole is formed through the axial center of the disk gear, and the upper end of the split column is pivotally mounted within the long hole and directly above the center of the head, and the head is supported by the split column. A tilting mechanism for a head support device in a woodworking machine, which is connected to a drive system.
