Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は超音波接着方法及び超音波シール材に関する。
〔従来の技術〕
従来より、超音波ホーンとアンビルとで一対の被接着物
を挾持し 特定の部分に超音波振動を印加して、その振
動による発熱で被接着物を溶融し被接着物同士を接着す
る方法力& 一般に行われている。
〔発明が解決しようとする課題〕
ところで、このような超音波接着方法で;戴 超音波振
動を受けた接着予定部分以外にも、超音波振動が伝わり
、その影響で被接着物に割れ(クラック)が入るという
おそれがあった また、アルミニウムなどの金属薄膜層に合成樹脂層を積
層した積層フィルムを枠体に接着した後、この枠体を容
器開口部に超音波接着する場合、フィルムが枠体から剥
がれたり、また、フィルムの表面に傷や割れが生じるな
どの問題も生じている。
更に、容器内に内容物を充填後、その容器口部に超音波
接着方法でシール材をシールする場合、超音波振動によ
る風圧あるいは振動で、容器内の内容物が飛散するとい
うおそれもあった本発明はこのような従来の問題点を解
決し、被Lソ: 接着物に超音波振動による損傷が生じないようにするこ
と、及び、そのような損傷の生じない超音波シール材を
提供することを課題とする。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
上記のような課題を解決するため、本発明の超音波接着
方法14  少なくとも一対の被接着物を、超音波ホー
ンとアンビルとで挟持して、超音波振動による発熱で被
接着物の特定部分同士を接着する超音波接着方法におい
て、被接着物の特定部分以外の部分で、かつ、前記ホー
ンとアンビルとの間に振動吸収体を介在させて、超音波
を印加するようにしたことを特徴とする。
また、本発明の超音波シール材1戴 接着予定部分以外
の少なくとも一部に振動吸収体を有することを特徴とす
る。
〔作用〕
振動吸収体が非接着箇所に波及してくる過剰の超音波及
び空気振動を吸収する。
本発明の接着方法で、被接着物は、少なくとも一方が超
音波振動による発熱で溶融する材質、特に熱可塑性樹脂
が好適である。
その例として1戴 例えばポリエチレン、ポリプロピレ
ンなどのポリオレフィン、そのほか、ポリエステル、ナ
イロン、ポリカーボネート、ポリフェニレンオキサイド
などを例示できる。
そして、被接着物全体がこのような合成樹脂であっても
よいし 接着部分のみを合成樹脂とすることも可能であ
る。
また、金属薄膜層に合成樹脂層を積層した積層体を本発
明の被接着物として良好に接着できる。
また、本発明は熱可塑性樹脂相互間の接着以外番な例え
ば熱可塑性樹脂−金属同士、更!″−S 熱可塑性樹脂
−合成樹脂以外でかつ金属以外の素材同士の接着にも好
ましく応用できる。
本発明で(も 被接着物の特定部分以外の部分で、かつ
、前記ホーンとアンビルとの間に振動吸収体を介在させ
て、超音波を印加する。
振動吸収体を介在させる場所は、ホーンとアンビルとの
間で、被接着物の接着予定部分以外であれば、残余部分
の全面あるいは一部を覆うような位置がよい。少なくと
も接着予定部分の周囲あるいは近傍に振動吸収体を位置
させることが好適である。
振動吸収体として1転 ポリウレタンフォーム、発泡ポ
リエチレン、発泡ポリスチレン、発泡ポリプロピレンな
どの発泡体が好適であるカー 発泡体に眼らず、振動を
吸収できるものであれば他の素材を使用できる。
なお、接着予定部分以外の夕なくとも一部に振動吸収体
を有するシール材とすれ1f1  振動吸収体の装着・
位置決めをいちいちせずに超音波シールを行うことがで
きる。
〔実施例〕
以下本発明の詳細な説明する。
〈実施例1〉 第11 第2図で示したように、熱可塑性樹脂製の偏平
な化粧用コンパクト容器用中皿1の中に化粧料を充填し
 中皿開口縁に熱可塑性樹脂製の環状枠体lを嵌着した
 この環状枠体2は、中皿周壁に外嵌する外枠部2aと
、中皿1の内側に水平に張り出したフランジ部2bとを
有している。
次&ミ  その枠体2のフランジ部2b上にアルミラミ
ネートフィルム3を接着剤で張り付け、中皿1の上面を
このアルミラミネートフィルム3で覆っr=  このア
ルミラミネートフィルム3;戴 アルミ箔層に熱可塑性
樹脂層を積層したものである。
次!ミ 環状枠体2の外径よりやや小径の発泡体シート
4をアルミラミネートフィルム3上に載置した この発
泡体シート4は振動吸収体であり、その厚さ力(アルミ
ラミネートフィルム3の上面がち環状枠体2の頂部まで
の高さより厚い。
最後に、ホーン5とアンビル6とで中皿1と環状枠体2
と挾持し ホーン5から超音波を印加して環状枠体2と
中皿周縁とを接着し九 非接着部分とくにアルミラミネートフィルム3に割れな
どの損傷はなく、フィルム3が枠体2から剥がれた形跡
はなかった また、アルミラミネートフィルム3を剥し
たところ、中皿1内の化粧料に超音波振動による影響は
見あたらながっtう〈実施例2〉 熱可塑性樹脂製のキャップll&:、!可塑性樹脂製の
シール12を載せ、超音波接着した前記キャップIII
L  筒部11aの内壁に螺子部11bを有し 上面に
開口部11cを有している。
そして、この開口部11cを覆うように前記シール12
をキャップ11上に載せ、その上にさらに発泡体4を載
せ、ホーン5とアンビル6とでシール12の周縁とキャ
ップ11とを挾持し 超音波を印加して、シール12の
周縁をキャップ11に接着した ホーン5は中央部がへこんで凹所5aとなっており、こ
の凹所5a内に発泡体4が入り込むようになっている。
また、アンビル6はキャップ11の筒部11a内に入り
込む凸部6aを有し この凸部6aがキャップ11の開
口縁をホーン5との間で挾持するようになっている。
そして、発泡体4の厚さ鷹 ホーン5とアンビル6とで
シール12の周縁とキャップ11とを挟持したときの、
シール12上面から凹所5aの底面までの距離より厚く
設定されている。
このため、ホーン5とアンビル6とでシール12の周縁
とキャップ11とを挟持したとき、発泡体5が圧縮され
て、ホーン5及びシール12に密着する。
この実施例で行った超音波接着で1戴 非接着部分に割
れなどの損傷がなかっf。
く他の実施例〉 この実施例で1戴 図示しないが、超音波を印加するこ
とで損傷のおそれがあるシール部材に予め発泡体を接着
し この発泡体付シール材で容器開口部を覆い、ホーン
とアンビルとで挟持して超音波接着をした 結果についてみると、シール材に損傷はなかった。
〔発明の効果〕
本発明によれば、接着すべき部分超音波が加わり、振動
吸収体が介在する非接着部分では超音波が吸収されるの
で、非接着部分に損傷などの不都合が生じない。

  1. (1)少なくとも一対の被接着物を、超音波ホーンとア
    ンビルとで挾持して、超音波振動による発熱で被接着物
    の特定部分同士を接着する超音波接着方法において、 被接着物の特定部分以外の部分で、かつ、前記ホーンと
    アンビルとの間に振動吸収体を介在させて、超音波を印
    加するようにしたことを特徴とする超音波接着方法。
  2. (2)超音波接着用シール材であって、接着予定部分以
    外の少なくとも一部に振動吸収体を有することを特徴と
    する超音波シール材。
