Description

【発明の詳細な説明】[Detailed description of the invention]

〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は、ホツパーより供給される材料樹脂を
シリンダ内で可熱溶融し、該溶融樹脂を射出又は
押出して成形する成形機において、樹脂の種類や
色を変更する際に、前記シリンダ内部に残留する
変更前の樹脂と、変更後の樹脂とを全てきれいに
交換する(以下、パージングと略称する)方法に
関する。 〔従来の技術〕 近年、成形機の制御においても、省力化、自動
化、低コスト化、等を計るために、マイクロコン
ピユータを搭載してプログラム制御するものが主
流になりつつある。 例えば、スクリユ・イン・ライン式射出成形機
においては、射出速度、圧力、スクリユ回転数、
背圧、射出ストローク等、制御すべき対象が多々
あるが、これらの制御対象を全てプログラム制御
するスクリユ・イン・ライン式射出成形機もすで
に製品化されている。この場合、操作員は、単に
樹脂の種類に応じた成形条件を設定するだけで良
く、熟練技能を必要としない。 ところが、同一の成形機によつて多種・少量の
成形品を成形する場合、しばしば、樹脂の種類や
色を変更する必要がある。 〔発明が解決しようとする問題点〕 しかしながら、従来、パージングの為のプログ
ラム制御は行なわれておらず、このパージング時
においても、変更前の樹脂の種類或いは変更後の
樹脂の種類に応じた成形条件を設定した通常の成
形制御を行つていたために、シリンダ内部に残留
する樹脂は少しずつしか交換されず、全てきれい
に交換するには長い時間が掛ると共に、多量の材
料が無駄になつてしまう。 このため、手動制御に切り換えて、操作員が経
験に基づき能率的にパージングを行なうこともあ
つたが、かかる作業は非熟練者には困難な作業で
あり、かつ、就練者でも同時に複数台を操作する
ことは不可能であつた。 〔問題点を解決するための手段〕 そこで本発明では、第1図に示すように、変更
前と変更後における樹脂を指定する設定手段1
と、該設定手段からの指令により指定された樹脂
の組合せに応じたパージング動作指令を規定する
手段2と、該規定手段からのパージング動作指令
にしたがつて、成形機を制御する手段3とを有
し、パージングを自動的かつ短時間で効率的に完
了させるようにしている。 〔実施例〕 以下、図面を参照して本発明の実施例を説明す
る。 第2図を参照すると、本発明の適用されるスク
リユ・イン・ライン式射出成形機は材料樹脂が供
給されるホツパー11と、このホツパー11から
の材料樹脂が充填される可塑化シリンダ12とを
備えている。 第3図を参照すると、可塑化シリンダ12の外
周には材料樹脂を溶融する為のバンドヒータ13
が設けられ、シリンダ12の内部には材料樹脂を
混練するとともに射出口15より溶融樹脂を射出
する為のスクリユ14が設けられている。 第4図を参照すると、スクリユ14は、フレー
ム16に内蔵されたスクリユ駆動油圧回路17に
よつて駆動され、スクリユ駆動油圧回路17は制
御盤18によつて制御される。又、バンドヒータ
13も制御盤18によつて制御される。 制御盤18の表面には、通常モードとパージン
グモードとを切換える為のモード切換スイツチ、
樹脂の種類を指定する為の設定ボタン及び駆動を
開始させる為のスタートスイツチ等のスイツチ群
19が備えられている。 第4図の制御盤18の内部には、上記モード切
換スイツチによつてパージングモードに切換えら
れたときの機能ブロツクが示されている。18a
は、樹脂材リストであつて、樹脂に対応してシリ
ンダ12内の樹脂の最適温度Tp(℃)が記憶され
ている。第1表には、一般用ポリスチレン
(GPPS)ポリカーボネート(PC)、ナイロン66
(PA)及びポリアセタール(POM)におけるシ
リンダ12内の各部(射出口、前部、中央及び後
部)の最適樹脂温度Tp(℃)の例が表わされてい
る。
