Claims (1)

  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 (1) 絶縁基板上の空間に陽極と陰極とを所定距
    離をおいて対向配置し、この空間をバリアによつ
    て複数の放電セルに隔成したガス放電パネルを、
    駆動用素子が実装されたドライバユニツト上に装
    着してなるガス放電表示装置であつて、 上記陰極をエミツタ材料で形成するとともに、
    上記ドライバユニツト面上に、上記エミツタ材料
    の仕事関数に相当した光電効果を生じる限界波長
    よりも短い波長の光を発する光源手段を備え、少
    なくとも上記絶縁基板の一部に、上記光源手段か
    らの照射光に対する透過率が高い透光部を形成し
    て、上記照射光が上記透光部を通じて上記放電セ
    ル内に導かれるようにしたことを特徴とするガス
    放電表示装置。 (2) 上記バリアに、上記エミツタ材料の仕事関
    数に相当した光電効果を生じる限界波長よりも短
    い波長の光を発する蛍光物質を設け、 さらに放電セル内を、上記蛍光物質を励起する
    ための紫外線を放射する放電ガスで満たしたこと
    を特徴とする請求項１記載のガス放電表示装置。
