ので、第１図は液晶表示装置の一部切開平面図、
第２図および第３図は第１図の−線および
−線に沿う拡大断面図、第４図は走査ラインお
よびデータラインを形成した基板に外部から静電
気が作用したときの各ラインの帯電状態を模式的
に示す平面図である。第５図は従来の液晶表示装
置の一部切開平面図、第６図は第５図の−線
に沿う拡大断面図、第７図および第８図は従来の
液晶表示装置の走査ラインおよびデータラインを
形成した基板に外部から静電気が作用したときの
各ラインの帯電状態を模式的に示す平面図および
断面図である。 １，２……基板、Ｇ……走査ライン、Ｄ……デ
ータライン、ＧＸ……走査側ダミーライン、ＤＹ

Claims (1)

  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 一対の基板間に液晶を封入するとともに、一方
    の基板に、多数本の走査ラインと、この各走査ラ
    インと絶縁膜によつて絶縁された多数本のデータ
    ラインと、前記各走査ラインと各データラインと
    の交差部にそれぞれ構成された多数の薄膜トラン
    ジスタと、この各薄膜トランジスタにそれぞれ接
    続された多数の画素電極とを形成し、他方の基板
    に、前記画素電極と対向する対向電極を形成した
    アクテイブマトリツクス液晶表示装置において、 前記一方の基板上に、走査ライン群の両側にそ
    れぞれ位置させて前記走査ラインと平行に形成さ
    れた少なくとも１本ずつの走査側ダミーラインと
    、データライン群の両側にそれぞれ位置させて前
    記データラインと平行に形成された少なくとも１
    本ずつのデータ側ダミーラインとを設け、前記走
    査側ダミーラインと前記データ側ダミーラインと
    をその端部において互いに短絡接続し、かつ前記
    走査ラインの両端を前記データ側ダミーラインの
    外側に延出させ、前記データラインの両端を前記
    走査側ダミーラインの外側に延出させたことを特
    徴とするアクテイブマトリツクス液晶表示装置。
