Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は伸縮自在な使い棄ておむつおよび当該
おむつの製作法に関する。
これまで伸縮おむつは伸縮片がその股部に取付
けられて幼児の両脚を締めつけるための伸縮自在
な股部のシールとなつて幼児の両脚に沿つておむ
つの内側から液体が出ないようにしている「使い
棄ておむつにおける収縮可能な側方部」と称する
米国特許第3860003号明細書に開示される如き砂
時計型のような輪郭をもつた形状のもののみの用
途に向けられていた。
伸縮ウエストバンドはおむつにとつて当たり前
のことになつているが製作上の困難さの故に伸縮
おむつ向けの大量生産を行なうのはたやすくな
い。さらに型取りされたおむつは作るのが難しく
かつ高くつく。
従つて、特殊化され、かつ複雑化した製作機器
がおむつを型取り、かつおむつに伸縮ウエストバ
ンドをつけるのに要求される。さらにこのように
して作られたおむつは幼児または失禁症の大人に
おむつをかけるのにテープフアスナまたは他の締
付手段を必要とし、またほどよく当てがうだけの
ことを行なうにも時間と技術を要する。
本発明は製作上の困難を克服し、ウエストと脚
のシールを行なう締付上の問題をなくし、かつ型
取り、裁断に手間がかからず着用者にとつて快適
で低廉な使い棄て可能な伸縮おむつを提供するこ
とにより従来の伸縮おむつの欠陥を除くものであ
る。
上述の目的を達成するため、本発明の使い棄て
おむつは、全体として方形をなす前身頃と、実質
的に前記前身頃と同形でかつ同大の後身頃とを有
し、前記前身頃と前記後身頃は、それぞれ、不透
水性の裏地シートと、面シートと、前記裏地シー
トと前記面シートの間に配置された吸収パツドと
を有し、前記前身頃の一対の側縁と前記後身頃の
一対の側縁とに、それぞれ、伸縮片を取り付け、
前記前身頃の前記面シートが前記後身頃の前記面
シートに面するように前記両身頃を重ね合わせる
と共に、前記両身頃をそれらの端縁に沿つて接合
して一体化し、更に前記両身頃の互いに対向して
位置する一対の側縁をそれらの中間位置で接合し
て、該中間位置の両側にそれぞれ腿部挿通用の孔
を形成し、前記伸縮片は、前記腿部挿通用の孔の
周囲にはそれぞれ股部シールを、また、前記両身
頃の前記腿部挿通用の孔とは反対側の側縁にはウ
エストバンドを、それぞれ形成することを特徴と
する。
また、本発明の使い棄ておむつの製作法は、一
対の吸収パツドを面シートと裏地シートの間に間
隔をおいて配置する工程と、前記面シートを前記
一対の吸収パツドの間で前記裏地シートに接合す
ると共に、前記面シートを前記面シートと前記裏
地シートの周縁に沿つて前記裏地シートに接合
し、一対のパネルを形成する工程と、前記一対の
パネルを前記一対の吸収パツドの間で折り曲げ、
前記一対のパネルの前記各面シートが互いに向か
い合うように前記一対のパネルを互いに重ね合わ
せる工程と、前記各パネルの各側縁にそれぞれ伸
縮片を接合し、次いで前記各パネルの各自由端を
互いに接合し、前記両パネルを、前記各パネルの
側縁の中間部に位置する股部で、前記伸縮片に近
接するように互いに接合する工程と、を有するこ
とを特徴とする。
以下図面を参照して本発明の詳細を実施例につ
いて説明する。
各図それぞれを通じて同一部材には同一符号を
用いる図面を参照すると第１図において符号１０
は在来のおむつ製造機でおむつを作つている生地
全体を示す。
生地１０は各別にされた吸収パツド１４を配置
している裏地シート１２を備えている。これらの
吸収パツド１４は従来の木毛、棉などで、必要に
応じて結物を入れたりあるいは入れなかつたりし
て作られる。面シート１６は吸収パツドの上にの
せられて裏地シートに符号１８で示す個所でその
周縁に沿つて接合される。面シートは２つの身頃
１４の間で符号２０で示す個所で裏地シート１２
に接合される。
２つの吸収パツド１４は同じ厚さでもまたは異
なつた厚さにしてもよくあるいは必要に応じて製
造機の調定いかんによつて決まる材料で作つても
よい。
対になつている伸縮片２２，２４および２６，
２８はヒートシールし、常温溶融接着剤または高
温溶融接着剤あるいは他の接合手段によつて裏地
シート１２に接合される。図示の如く、伸縮片は
裏地シートの内面に接合されるが必要とあれば裏
地シート１２の外面に接合してもよい。
２つの身頃は、第１図に示すような形になると
同じに広がるように身頃の間のスペース２０に沿
つて折畳まれる。身頃の自由端は必要に応じてヒ
ートシール、常温溶融接着剤または高温溶融接着
剤あるいは他の接合手段により符号３０で示す個
所で接合される。
望ましくは同じ広がりをもつ身頃のスペース２
０と自由端３０との中間の個所３２で身頃をヒー
トシールまたは適当な接着剤で互いに接合するの
がよい。これによつて第５図によく示すように２
つの裾口３４，３６を画定し、伸縮片２２，２４
は股シールとなる腿バンドすなわち裾バンドを画
定し他方の伸縮片２６，２８はウエストシールと
なるウエストバンドを画定する。
第６図にはよりよい適合とシールを行なうため
伸縮片を調節自在に縛ることのできる弾性ひも４
０，４２および４４，４６にした改変例が示され
る。
第７図と第８図を参照すると、そこには股領域
に特に位置決めされて１つまたはそれ以上の追加
パツド５２を設けたおむつ５０が示される。追加
パツド５２にはおむつが着用者の性別いかんによ
つて前後を換えて適合させるようにした厚い部分
５４と薄い部分５６が設けられる。追加パツド５
２はまた必要によりこれを挿入物とすることもで
きる。
第９図に示すように、追加の伸縮発泡材６０を
ウエストや腿に置いてより快適な適合が行なえる
ようにしてもよい。
第１０図には望ましくは伸縮材料で作られ裾口
延長部７０，７２を設けてシールをより確実にす
るとともに適合をよりよくしているバーミユーダ
型おむつの変形例が示される。第１１図の如く発
泡材７６，７８はウエスト部分と裾口に当てられ
ている。
延伸材を用いて異なつた体つきの着用者それぞ
れにおむつを適合させている。さらに裏地シート
は米国特許第3989867号明細書開示のように通気
に適したものにしてもよい。伸縮片は米国特許第
3639917号および第3912651号明細書に示す如く混
成して大きい効果を上げるようにしてもよい。

は折畳まれた後の身頃の平面図、第３図は第２図
の３−３線に沿つた断面図、第４図は第２図の４
−４線に沿つた断面図、第５図は本発明の使い棄
ておむつの斜視図、第６図は弾性ひもを用いた本
発明の改変例を示す図、第７図に二重パツドを用
いた使い棄ておむつを示す図、第８図は第７図の
８−８線に沿つた使い棄ておむつの詳細図、第９
図は伸縮発泡材を用いた実施例を示す図、第１０
図は裾口延長部をもつたバーミユーダ型の使い棄
てパンツを示す図、第１１図は発泡材をつけた他
の実施例を示す図である。 １０……生地、１２……裏地シート、１４……
吸収パツド、１６……面シート、２２，２４，２
６，２８……伸縮パツド、３４，３６……裾口。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １ 全体として方形をなす前身頃と、実質的に前
    記前身頃と同形でかつ同大の後身頃とを有し、前
    記前身頃と前記後身頃は、それぞれ、不透水性の
    裏地シートと、面シートと、前記裏地シートと前
    記面シートの間に配置された吸収パツドとを有
    し、前記前身頃の一対の側縁と前記後身頃の一対
    の側縁とに、それぞれ、伸縮片を取り付け、前記
    前身頃の前記面シートが前記後身頃の前記面シー
    トに面するように前記両身頃を重ね合わせると共
    に、前記両身頃をそれらの端縁に沿つて接合して
    一体化し、更に前記両身頃の互いに対向して位置
    する一対の側縁をそれらの中間位置で接合して、
    該中間位置の両側にそれぞれ腿部挿通用の孔を形
    成し、前記伸縮片は、前記腿部挿通用の孔の周囲
    にはそれぞれ股部シールを、また、前記両身頃の
    前記腿部挿通用の孔とは反対側の側縁にはウエス
    トバンドを、それぞれ形成することを特徴とす
    る、使い棄ておむつ。 ２ 一対の吸収パツドを面シートと裏地シートの
    間に間隔をおいて配置する工程と、 前記面シートを前記一対の吸収パツドの間で前
    記裏地シートに接合すると共に、前記面シートを
    前記面シートと前記裏地シートの周縁に沿つて前
    記裏地シートに接合し、一対のパネルを形成する
    工程と、 前記一対のパネルを前記一対の吸収パツドの間
    で折り曲げ、前記一対のパネルの前記各面シート
    が互いに向かい合うように前記一対のパネルを互
    いに重ね合わせる工程と、 前記各パネルの各側縁にそれぞれ伸縮片を接合
    し、次いで前記各パネルの各自由端を互いに接合
    し、前記両パネルを、前記各パネルの側縁の中間
    部に位置する股部で、前記伸縮片に近接するよう
    に互いに接合する工程と、 を有することを特徴とする、使い棄ておむつの製
    作法。 ３ 特許請求の範囲第２項に記載の使い棄ておむ
    つの製作法において、前記両パネルはそれらの前
    記自由端と前記股部で同時に接合される、前記使
    い棄ておむつの製作法。
