Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は伸縮自在で使い棄ておむつおよび当該
おむつの製作法に関する。
これまで伸縮おむつは、伸縮片がその股部に取
付けられて幼児の両脚を締めつけるための伸縮自
在な股部シールとなつて幼児の両脚に沿つておむ
つの内側から流体が出ないようにしている「使い
棄ておむつにおける収縮可能な側方部」と称する
米国特許第3860003号明細書に開示される如き砂
時計型の輪郭をもつた形状のもののみの用途に向
けられていた。
伸縮ウエストバンドは、おむつにとつて当たり
前のことになつているが製作上の困難さの故に伸
縮おむつ向けの大量生産を行なうのはたやすくな
い。さらに型取りされたおむつは作るのが難しく
かつ高くつく。
従つて、特殊化され、かつ複雑化した製作機器
がおむつを型取り、かつおむつに伸縮ウエストバ
ンドをつけるのに要求される。さらにこのように
して作られたおむつは幼児または失禁症の大人に
おむつをかけるのにテープフアスナまたは他の締
付手段を必要とし、またほどよく当てがうだけの
ことを行なうのにも時間と技術を要する。
本発明は製作上の困難を克服し、ウエストと脚
のシールを行なう締付上の問題をなくし、かつ型
取り、裁断に手間がかからず着用者にとつて快適
で低廉な使い棄て可能な伸縮おむつを提供するこ
とにより従来の伸縮おむつの欠陥を除くものであ
る。
上述の目的を達成するために、本発明の使い棄
ておむつは次のような構成を採る。すなわち、前
身頃と後身頃を有し、前記前身頃と前記後身頃は
方形をなすと共に実質的に等しい大きさをなし、
前記前身頃及び後身頃は、それぞれ、頂縁と、底
縁と、該頂縁と該底縁とを連結する一対の側縁と
を有し、前記前身頃と前記後身頃の間には吸収パ
ツドが股部を形成するように配置され、前記前身
頃と前記後身頃はおむつのウエストバンドを構成
する伸縮片をそれらの前記頂縁に沿つて有し、前
記前身頃と前記後身頃はそれらの前記側縁に沿つ
て互いに結合され、前記前身頃と前記後身頃は、
前記吸収パツドと協働して股部のシールを形成す
るように、それらの前記底縁に沿つて伸縮片を有
することを特徴とする、使い捨ておむつである。
また、本発明の使い棄ておむつの製作法は、次
のような構成を採る。すなわち、方形をなし、か
つ、実質的に等しい大きさの前身頃と後身頃を形
成する工程と、対をなす前記前身頃と前記後身頃
を互いに隣接するように配置する工程と、前記前
身頃と前記後身頃の各頂縁と各底縁に沿つて、４
枚の伸縮片を互いに平行に接着する工程と、前記
前身頃の前記底縁に沿つて接着された前記伸縮片
と、前記後身頃の前記底縁に沿つて接着された前
記伸縮片とを横断して前記前身頃と前記後身頃に
延在するように、吸収パツドを接着する工程と、
前記身頃の一方を前記身頃の他方に折り重ね、前
記両身頃の側縁を前記伸縮編を横断するように互
いに接着する工程とを有することを特徴とする、
使い捨ておむつの製作法である。
本発明によれば、伸縮おむつは一方の身頃が他
方の身頃に重ねられ両端が互いに接合された２つ
の身頃地から作られる。それぞれの身頃には、縁
を横切つて縁に対し互いに平行にされている２つ
の伸縮片があつてウエストバンドと脚のシールと
なつている。吸収パツドは身頃に接合され伸縮片
を横切つて身頃間にのびおむつの股部となる。身
頃は２つとも別体として用いてもよいし、あるい
は互いに一体にして切断することにより裾口をあ
けてもよい。
以下、図面を参照して、本発明の詳細を実施例
について説明する。
各図それぞれを通じて同一部材には同一符号を
用いる図面を参照すると第１図において符号１０
は製作途次にあるおむつを全体的に示す。
おむつ１０は、ポリエチレンおよびまたはポリ
プロピレン繊維でできている好ましくは不織疎水
性材料で作られた１対の身頃１２，１４からなつ
ている。別の実施例では、身頃はポリエチレンま
たはポリプロピレンフイルムの如き流体を通さな
いシート材料で作られることもある。身頃１２，
１４は、作製後、隣接縁１６，１８が裾に、そし
て離間縁２０，２２がおむつの頂部にくるように
互いに平行に並べられる。
伸縮片２４，２６はこれらの縁に接して身頃１
２，１４に接着されるのがよく、かつ身頃の全長
を側縁３０，３２および３４，３６それぞれにわ
たつてのびている。
伸縮片３８，４０は隣接縁１６，１８に接して
身頃１２，１４に接着剤で接合するのがよい。
ポリエチレンまたはポリプロピレンのプラスチ
ツクフイルムの如き不透水性材料でできた裏地シ
ート５２と、木毛の吸収層５４と、ポリエチレン
またはポリプロピレンの繊維から疏水性の肌接触
シートを作つている不織繊維の頂部シート５６と
を備えた吸収パツド５０が用意される。この吸収
パツド５０は身頃１２，１４を横切つておかれ、
これらの間にのび、かつこれらに接合されるのが
よい。吸収パツド５０は伸縮片３８，４０の上に
おかれる。
その後で身頃１２，１４の一方は他方に対して
重なる位置に折畳まれて吸収パツド５０を畳むの
で側縁３０，３２および３４，３６は互いにそれ
ぞれ接合しておむつの側部を形成する。伸縮片２
４，２６はウエストバンドとなつている。吸収パ
ツド５０と協動して、裾口には伸縮片３８，４０
でできた伸縮シールが形成される。
身頃１２，１４は別体にするとも、または一体
にすることもできる。もし一体にするならば身頃
には折畳む前に、またはヒートシールあるいは接
着いずれかによる側縁の密閉と同時にスリツトを
入れて裾口を作る。
【図面の簡単な説明】
第１図は製作途次における使い棄ておむつをよ
く示すため一部を切欠いた１対の身頃の平面図、
第２図は完成されたおむつの立面図、第３図は伸
縮自在な使い棄ておむつの斜視図である。 １０……おむつ、１２，１４……身頃、１６，
１８，２０，２２……縁、２４，２６，３８，４
０……伸縮片、５０……吸収パツド。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １ 前身頃と後身頃を有し、前記前身頃と前記後
    身頃は方形をなすと共に実質的に等しい大きさを
    なし、前記前身頃及び後身頃は、それぞれ、頂縁
    と、底縁と、該頂縁と該底縁とを連結する一対の
    側縁とを有し、前記前身頃と前記後身頃の間には
    吸収パツドが股部を形成するように配置され、前
    記前身頃と前記後身頃はおむつのウエストバンド
    を構成する伸縮片をそれらの前記頂縁に沿つて有
    し、前記前身頃と前記後身頃はそれらの前記側縁
    に沿つて互いに結合され、前記前身頃と前記後身
    頃は、前記吸収パツドと協働して股部のシールを
    形成するように、それらの前記底縁に沿つて伸縮
    片を有することを特徴とする、使い捨ておむつ。 ２ 方形をなし、かつ、実質的に等しい大きさの
    前身頃と後身頃を形成する工程と、対をなす前記
    前身頃と前記後身頃を互いに隣接するように配置
    する工程と、前記前身頃と前記後身頃の各頂縁と
    各底縁に沿つて、４枚の伸縮片を互いに平行に接
    着する工程と、前記前身頃の前記底縁に沿つて接
    着された前記伸縮片と、前記後身頃の前記底縁に
    沿つて接着された前記伸縮片とを横断して前記前
    身頃と前記後身頃に延在するように、吸収パツド
    を接着する工程と、前記身頃の一方を前記身頃の
    他方に折り重ね、前記両身頃の側縁を前記伸縮片
    を横断するように互いに接着する工程と、を有す
    ることを特徴とする、使い棄ておむつの製作法。
