Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a structure hard to generate damage such s crack or release and rich in durability by forming the structure so that no calcium hydroxide is substantially contained. CONSTITUTION:A structure is composed of a composition forming ettringite by the reaction of calcium hydroxide formed by the hydration of tricalcium silicate and dicalcium silicte in Portland cement with calcium sulfoaluminate and gypsum. Calcium hydroxide generated from Portland cement being one stimulating agent of slag is entirely consumed by calcium sulfoaluminte being the other stimulating agent to become abse in the system. Therefore, the structure hard to generte damage such as a crack or release over a long period of time from the beginning and rich in durability is obtained.

The amount of various radioactive wastes discharged from various nuclear facilities such as nuclear power plants continues to increase. Among these radioactive wastes, medium- and low-level radioactive wastes are placed in radioactive waste processing containers such as drums, and then solidified and hermetically sealed into a final form suitable for underground burial. There is. For example, a radioactive waste treatment container (Special Publication Publication No. 56-1284
0 Publication), and radioactive waste treatment containers in which steel fiber reinforced concrete molded into the shape of a container is partially impregnated with a polymerizable impregnation agent and polymerized and solidified (Japanese Patent Publication No. 57-34518). A metal container, a multilayer container having a double structure of an outer shell and an inner shell made of concrete that is lined on the inner surface of the metal container, reinforced with a reinforcing material, and further strengthened with an impregnating agent. 59-85.9

Then, after filling fine radioactive waste such as powdered or granular incineration ash and other miscellaneous solids together with a cement solidifying agent into a radioactive waste treatment container and solidifying it, the radioactive waste layer is Fill with cement paste,
After the inner lid is placed, the outer lid is placed on the radioactive waste treatment container, and it is being considered to bury it underground. By the way, when burying radioactive waste disposal containers underground, radioactive waste disposal containers are not only buried underground, but also placed in a storage area (processing plant) surrounded by concrete in order to increase safety. is placed. Incidentally, until now, the cement used to construct radioactive waste treatment plants has typically been, for example, Portland cement. However, when radioactive waste disposal sites were constructed using ordinary Portland cement, damage was sometimes observed after a long period of time.

As a result of investigating the cause of the damage mentioned above, the present inventor found that
The damage to the concrete structure that made up this radioactive waste disposal site is due to the presence of sulfates in the radioactive waste or in the disposal atmosphere, and this sulfate is present in the concrete (cement) layer that makes up the structure. Reacts with calcium hydroxide in the following manner to form Ca(0)1)2 + Na'2SO4+ 820-+
Ca5O,=21(20+'t4aOII gypsum is produced, and this gypsum is 3CaO・Δ in the cement layer of the disposal site.

・3i~32) 120 is generated, and large expansion pressure occurs during the formation of this ettringite, and this expansion pressure causes damage (separation from expansion cracks) to the structure of the radioactive waste disposal site. I investigated. The present invention was achieved based on the results of such research, and its purpose is to create a highly durable and safe construction for radioactive waste disposal that does not suffer from damage such as cracking or peeling. It's about giving your body. The object of the present invention is to provide a radioactive waste processing structure constructed using cement in which a radioactive waste processing body is stored, and this structure does not substantially contain calcium hydroxide. This is achieved by a radioactive waste processing structure characterized by: By the way, as a cement that is substantially free of calcium hydroxide for forming the construct in the present invention, for example, 3CaO.3^! ,0. -CaS04, CaO・^1

The first method of making a calcium sulfoaluminate compound having a molar ratio of less than 3 or a clinker or cement mainly composed of a calcium sulfoaluminate compound in an amount of 3 to 20% by weight in terms of the calcium sulfoaluminate compound or calcium aluminate compound. raw materials, portland cement, mixed cement, etc.1

Clinker or cement whose main component is 2CaO・Sigh) is 3-2 in terms of calcium silicate compound.
A second raw material that can make 0% by weight of gypsum such as anhydrous gypsum and dihydrate gypsum, a third raw material that can make 6 to 40% by weight of gypsum such as anhydrous gypsum, and 20 to 88% by weight of blast furnace water slag in terms of Ca504. A fourth raw material containing 30.1 to 1.5% by weight of oxycarboxylic acids such as sodium citrate and malic acid is mixed (3^1.o, +1.5SiO
There are some in which the molar ratio of z)/(CaO-5Oz) is 1 or more. The level of substantially no calcium hydroxide may be such that no peak of Ca(OH) is observed using, for example, an X-ray diffraction apparatus (Rotorflex series manufactured by Rigaku Ki Co., Ltd.). If cement with such a composition is used as a constituent material for a radioactive waste disposal site, it will not cause damage such as cracking or peeling. Calcium sulfonate is highly durable and safe. Aluminate compound 3
CaO・3^120. An example of using calcium sulfoaluminate clinker containing Ca5O as a main component, Portland cement, and blast furnace water slag will be explained from the viewpoint of hydration reaction as follows. The calcium sulfoaluminate compound reacts with calcium hydroxide and gypsum during hydration to form an etrin guide, as shown in the following formula. 3Ca0・3^120s ・Ca5O+ + 8CaS
O< + 6Ca(0)1)z”90Ht. →3 (3Ca041203・3CaS04・32LO
) For this reaction, anhydrous gypsum or dihydrate gypsum is consumed. On the other hand, calcium hydroxide produced by a hydration reaction of Portland cement is supplied as calcium hydroxide. Portland cement, a common irritant, generates calcium hydroxide to increase the pH of the cement, elutes slag silica and alumina, and reacts with them to produce calcium silicate hydrate (CaO5iOz-H2O system) and calcium. Aluminate hydrate (CaO-^]20.H20
system), further reacts with gypsum to form calcium sulfoaluminate hydrate (CaO-^1202 Ca5O, -H
2O system). However, in the present invention, since the calcium hydroxide produced from Portland cement is consumed for hydration of calcium sulfoaluminate curing power, the amount of Portland cement is 3 to 3% compared to general slag cement.
As high as 20%. In order to avoid damage such as cracking and peeling, in order to construct a highly durable radioactive waste disposal tank,
It is important that the calcium hydroxide produced from Portland cement, which is a slag irritant, is completely consumed by another irritant, calcium sulfoaluminate, and no more calcium hydroxide exists in the system. becomes. In other words, tricalcium silicate (3C) in Portland cement

Calcium hydroxide produced by hydration of calcium sulfoaluminate (30aO-3^120.-C

Therefore, by adding oxycarboxylic acids to delay the hydration reaction of calcium sulfoaluminate and curing, the timing of hydration of the two almost coincides, and after the calcium hydroxide generated from Portland cement stimulates the slag, the excess Preferably, the design is such that a fraction of the amount of calcium sulfoaluminate is consumed for hydration. Oxycarboxylic acids for this purpose include sodium citrate, malic acid, tartaric acid, sodium tartrate, and the like. Therefore, damage such as cracking and peeling occurs from the initial stage to long-term, resulting in poor durability. In order to construct a radioactive waste disposal site rich in radioactive waste, it is necessary to
+1.5siOz)/(CaO-S(h) molar ratio of 1 or more should be used.In addition, calcium hydroxide is added to the concrete (cement) layer that constitutes such a disposal site. When cement is used, the surface hardness of this radioactive waste disposal site is high, and there is no surface weakening phenomenon that is said to be a drawback of slag-based cement, and calcium sulfoaluminate clinker and Portland cement have a high surface hardness. The cement itself exhibits hydraulic properties, and since the slag exhibits hydration activity from the initial stage, the cement exhibits early strength and long-term strength increases, and is non-shrinkable and dry. It has low shrinkage, is highly durable, and is safe as a disposal site for radioactive waste.Although medium-temperature Portland cement can be used as the Portland cement, it does not have the effect of stimulating slag, which has latent hydraulic properties. , tricalcium silicate (3CaO・5i
Early-strength and ultra-early-strength Portland cements with a large amount of O2) and high reactivity are more effective. White Portland cement whose main compounds are 3CaO-SiOz and tricalcium silicate (3CaO-SiOz) can also be used, and mixed cements such as blast furnace cement and fly ash cement can also be used. In addition to calcium sulfoaluminate, Ca1l
