Abstract

PURPOSE:To bond a decorative sheet without requiring primary treatment even when there is slight unevenness on the surface of a material to be bonded by providing an intermediate layer between the first and second sticking layers. CONSTITUTION:An abstract pattern is printed on the surface of a colored polyvinyl chloride base material sheet (made by Bando Chemical Co.) having 90mum- thickness by a gravure method to provide a decorative layer 2 and a transparent polyvinyl chloride sheet with 60mum-thickness is thermally welded to the decorative layer 2 as a protective layer. An acrylic resin type two-pack sticking agent is applied to the rear of the base material sheet l in 60mum-thickness by a roll coater and a polyurethane sheet with 2mm-thickness is laminated as an intermediate layer 4. Sticking layers 3A, 3B are also formed on the intermediate layer 4 in the same way.

[Prior Art] Most decorative sheets used for wallpaper and the like are made of a plastic base sheet with a decorative layer on the front surface and an adhesive layer on the back surface. Needless to say, the reason for providing the adhesive layer is to make it easier to apply the decorative sheet to adherends such as walls and building materials.

The thickness of the adhesive layer provided on the decorative sheet is generally 100μ.
m or less, and preferably 60 μ or less. The above-mentioned limits are set because increasing the thickness of the adhesive layer lowers the creep resistance and may cause the base sheet to shift over time.

Among the various materials used as building materials, many have somewhat uneven surfaces, such as wooden boards and concrete boards. Even if a conventional decorative sheet is attached to such materials,
This is inconvenient because the surface of the decorative sheet is coated due to the unevenness of the stone material.

As a countermeasure to this problem, it is possible to thicken the adhesive layer of the decorative sheet to absorb the unevenness of the stone material, but there is the problem of creep resistance mentioned above, and the adhesive layer is not thick enough to absorb the unevenness. You can't create layers.

Therefore, when attaching a decorative sheet to an adherend material whose surface is not smooth, it is necessary to perform ground treatment such as sealing and primer application prior to application. Surface treatment is carried out using various paints, but in addition to the problem of environmental pollution due to organic solvents, time is also required for drying the solvent, which is disadvantageous for shortening the construction period.

[Means for Solving the Problems] The decorative sheet of the present invention is provided with: - As shown in the drawings, a decorative layer (2) is provided on the surface of a plastic base sheet (1), and a first layer is provided on the back surface. A pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (3A>), an intermediate layer (4) made of a flexible material, and a second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (3B) are provided in this order.

The adhesive used in the present invention is selected from commonly used adhesives, including acrylic resin-based ones, taking into consideration their compatibility with the stone to be covered. It is easier to form the first and second adhesive layers from the same material, but it goes without saying that they do not have to be the same. An adhesive layer other than the second adhesive layer may be used between the adhesive layers as long as it adheres well between the two.

Any material may be used for the intermediate layer as long as it has a thickness sufficient to absorb the irregularities on the surface of the adherend, is easily deformable, and can be bent. Materials that meet these conditions include, for example, cloth and foamed resin sheets. In particular, cloth is suitable because it has the effect of absorbing irregularities on the surface of the adherend and improving the dimensional stability of the decorative sheet. The thickness of the intermediate sheet depends on the material used and the degree of unevenness on the surface of the adherend, but if a foamed resin sheet is used, the thickness is in the range of 100 μm to 5Ml1+, and if cloth is used, the thickness is in the range of 100 μm to 5 Ml1+. In both cases of woven fabric and non-woven fabric, the thickness is preferably such that the basis weight is in the range of 10 to 15 (1/m).

[Example] A decorative layer was provided by printing an abstract pattern using a gravure method on the surface of a 90 μm thick colored polyvinyl chloride base sheet (manufactured by Band Kagaku Co., Ltd.), and a 60 μm thick protective layer was placed on top of the decorative layer. A transparent polyvinyl chloride sheet (same as above) was heat-sealed.

An acrylic resin two-component adhesive was applied to the back surface of the base sheet using a roll coater to a thickness of 60 μm, and a 2# thick polyurethane sheet was laminated as an intermediate layer. An adhesive layer was also formed on the intermediate layer in the same manner as above to obtain a decorative sheet of the present invention.

[Effect of the Invention 1] The decorative sheet of the present invention can give a beautiful appearance even when attached to an adherend that has not been subjected to surface treatment. Eliminating the need for surface treatment of the adherend material not only shortens the construction period, but also eliminates the problem of environmental pollution associated with surface treatment using paint.
