  1. レーザ光を光源としライン照射する光源部と、
    透過原稿を読取る光電変換素子を備えた透過読取
    部と、前記透過原稿を載置する載置ガラス及び前
    記透過原稿を押える押えガラスを備えて移動する
    原稿保持部とを有してなる透過読取装置において
    、前記光源部より前記原稿保持部を照射する走査
    ビームを前記透過原稿の読取り副走査方向に対し
    て斜めに照射するように構成し且つ前記載置ガラ
    スと前記押えガラスとの間に空間をもたせるスペ
    ーサを備えることを特徴とする透過型読取装置。
