(Conventional technology) Wallpaper can be categorized into woven fabrics, vinyl, synthetic fibers (woven plastic strings), natural materials (bamboo, reed, kudzu, wisteria, wood, paper, cork, etc.), and metal. It can be divided into those with foil pasted on them and paper wallpapers. However, in recent years, vinyl wallpaper has come to account for approximately 90% of wallpapers, as it has advantages in installation suitability, expressiveness, cost, and production stability. Vinyl wallpaper has a rich variety of expressions, including plain embossing, printing + embossing, clearance embossing, chemical embossing, and rotary foaming. However, because the surface has the coldness and luster characteristic of vinyl, it has a strong artificial feel, and many feel that it is lacking in texture and texture compared to paper wallpaper or textile wallpaper.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The wallpaper of the present invention has a vinyl chloride resin layer 2 formed on a backing paper 1 as shown in FIG. A nonwoven fabric 4 is then laminated thereon, and embossing is performed afterwards or at the same time as the lamination.

Embossing may be applied partially or over the entire surface, and in each case, heat distribution, pressing force, height differences in the unevenness of the embossing plate, etc. are taken into consideration so that the nonwoven fabric 4 becomes partially transparent. do.

The nonwoven fabric 4 may be any material as long as it becomes transparent when heated and pressurized and can be thermally fused to the vinyl chloride resin layer 2. Specifically, rayon fibers, acrylic fibers, nylon fibers, polyester fibers, etc. are used. Things can be used. Among these nonwoven fabrics, a nonwoven fabric made of rayon fibers and having an acrylic resin as a binder and having a weight of 30 g/m 2 to 50 g/m 2 is particularly preferable for heat treating the vinyl chloride resin layer. Note that it is also possible to use a colored nonwoven fabric that becomes colored and transparent when heated and pressurized.

Embossing conditions vary slightly depending on the material and weight of the nonwoven fabric used, the thickness of the vinyl chloride resin layer, etc., but conditions of approximately 150° C. to 250° C. and a linear pressure of 3 tons to 5 tons are suitable.

(Function) Embossing is not applied uniformly, but rather changes the heat distribution so that the heat and pressure applied to the nonwoven fabric differs locally, so the nonwoven fabric becomes transparent and the color of the underlying vinyl chloride resin layer changes. The wallpaper has a soft texture similar to cloth wallpaper, with a part where the nonwoven fabric is transparent and a pattern on the lower layer visible between the grains of the nonwoven fabric.
