- 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 (1) 第１外周面と第２外周面とを有する外筒と
、カーボン材料により形成され第２外周面に遊嵌
されたシールリングと、該シールリングに当接す
るフローテイングシートと、前記シールリングを
パツキングを介して前記フローテイングシートへ
と付勢するスプリングとを有するウオータポンプ
用メカニカルシールにおいて、 前記シールリングの外周面に該シールリングよ
り耐脆性の高い樹脂でコーテイングしたことを特
徴とするウオータポンプ用メカニカルシール。 (2) 前記樹脂コーテイングを前記シールリング
と熱伝導率及び熱膨張係数が略同一の樹脂で形成
することを特徴とする請求項１記載のウオータポ
ンプ用メカニカルシール。
