Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 (A) 発明の技術分野 本発明は、インク材料混合方法として揮発性溶
媒を用いる熱転写インクシート製造方法に関する
ものである。
(B) 従来技術と問題点 従来、インク層塗布後の溶媒の乾燥は、自然乾
燥で行ない次のインク材料を溶融混合する加熱工
程で完全乾燥を行なつていた。
しかしながら、この方法では、溶媒乾燥に長時
間を要すること、さらに後段の加熱工程までに溶
媒の乾燥が充分に行なわれていない場合は、イン
ク材料が分離してしまい、記録の際に転写像にむ
らが発生するという欠点を有する。
(C) 発明の目的 本発明の目的は、前述した欠点に鑑み、溶媒乾
燥のための時間を短縮させると共に、後段の加熱
工程における溶媒への影響が起ることのない熱転
写インクシートの製造方法を提供することにあ
る。
(D) 発明の構成 そして、この目的は、本発明によれば基材とイ
ンク層とよりなる熱転写インクシートにおいて、
基材上に低融点材料と溶媒を混合したインクを塗
布後、前記基材側より前記低融点材料の融点温度
より低い温度で加熱して溶媒を蒸発させた後に、
インク材料が溶融混合する温度で加熱することを
特徴とする熱転写インクシートの製造方法とする
ことにより達成される。
(E) 発明の実施例 以下、本発明の実施例を図面を用いて詳細に説
明する。図は、本実施例にかかる熱転写インクシ
ートの製造方法を説明するための図である。
図において、まず基材である厚さ16〔μｍ〕の
コンデンサ紙１に厚さ10〔μｍ〕の接着材層２を
塗布する。その上に、低融点材料としてミツロウ
１〔ｇ〕、顔料（日本化薬製＃149）１〔ｇ〕、染料
（日本化薬製Ｋ−Ｒ）1.5〔ｇ〕、界面活性材（日本
油脂製モノクリＭ）0.5〔ｇ〕と溶媒としてエチル
アルコール15〔c.c.〕、アセトン15〔c.c.〕を混合した
インク層３をバーコーダにより20〔μｍ〕の厚さ
に塗布する。
インク層３を塗布後、直ちにコンデンサ紙１の
基材例から55〔℃〕に加熱したドラム４を押し当
てて20秒間加熱する。その後90〔℃〕に加熱した
ドラム５を押し当てて20秒間加熱して熱転写イン
クシートは完成する。
本実施例によれば、溶媒の乾燥工程を著しく短
縮でき、また後工程の高温加熱処理にといて、溶
媒への影響が全く起らないので、インク材料がむ
らなく分離された高品質の熱転写インクシートを
得ることができる。
(F) 発明の効果 以上説明したように、本発明はインク層を基材
に塗布した後に低融点材料の融点より低い温度で
加熱を行なうことにより蒸発を推進させ、乾燥工
程を短縮することができる。
また加熱温度が低融点材料の融点以下であるた
めにインク材料の分離は起らず、熱転写インクシ
ートの品質には全く悪影響を及ぼさない。
また、溶媒の乾燥を充分に行なうことができる
ので、後段の加熱工程におけるインク材料溶融に
よる材料分離もなくなり、高品質の熱転写インク
シートを得ることができる。

図は本実施例にかかる熱転写インクシートの製
造方法を説明するための図である。 図において、１は基材、２は接着材層、３はイ
ンク層、４，５はドラムである。

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １ 基材とインク層とよりなる熱転写インクシー
    トの製造方法であつて、 前記基材上に低融点材料と溶媒を混合したイン
    クを塗布した後、 前記低融点材料の融点温度より低い温度で且つ
    常温よりも高い温度で加熱して前記溶媒を蒸発さ
    せた後に、 インク材料が溶融混合する温度で加熱するこ
    と、を特徴とする熱転写インクシートの製造方
    法。
