Many electronic components have leads (wire-like conductive paths), and for these, the leads are inserted into insertion holes prepared in advance on the circuit board, flow soldered, and mounted on the circuit board. There is. Various attempts have been made to mechanize and automate the insertion of electronic components having leads into circuit boards depending on the type and shape of the electronic component. The main points to be promoted when performing mechanical insertion are (1) increasing the success rate of insertion, (2) increasing the mounting density, and (3) increasing the types of electronic components that can be targeted. , can be given. The present invention is related to (1) increasing the success rate of insertion.

In order to do this, we have devised the shape of the blade used to cut the leads of each electronic component and separate it from the tape, such as when electronic components are adhered side by side to the tape. Figure 5 is from JP-A-Sho.
This figure shows an example of the "electronic component lead wire cutting device" disclosed in Publication No. 61-216400. In the device disclosed in this publication, the lead of the electronic component is supported by the guide plate 50, and the conical cutting cutter 6
0, the tip of the lead wire 90 is cut into a tapered shape.

Furthermore, during cutting, the guide plate must position the electronic component. In the above-mentioned conventional example, the cutter is considered to have a conical hole from the drawings in the specification in which the invention is disclosed, but this may be replaced with a pyramidal hole. Figure 6 shows the lead cutter 6 in Figure 5.
FIG. 7 is an enlarged plan view showing what is considered to be an example of the shape of 0, and is a perspective view of the cutter shown in FIG. In such a cutter, the tip of the lead can be made into a pyramid, but some kind of positioning or guiding means is still required to guide the lead to the center of the V-groove of the cutter. Furthermore, since the same-shaped cutters are used in pairs, the two pieces of cutters must be precisely aligned with each other.

Then, the first side of the first cutter and the second side of the second cutter are butted against each other to cut the lead. The first side surface of the first cutter forms an inclined surface with respect to the main surface of the flat plate. The second side of the second katsuta is

The slope is in close contact with the slopes on the sides.
Furthermore, the second cutter is provided with a concave groove portion formed by cutting out a substantially tetrahedron whose one side is a part of the intersection line between the second side surface and the second main surface, which form an acute angle with each other. The lead is cut between this groove and the first side surface of the first cutter. The number of grooves is arbitrary and may be matched to the number of leads to be cut at one time.

A plan view and a side view of the cutter, and FIG. 3 is a front view seen from arrow A in FIG. 1. As shown in these figures, especially FIG. 2, both the first cutter 10 and the second cutter 12 have a substantially flat plate shape. The first cutter 10 and the second cutter 12 are installed so that they can move relatively back and forth along the same plane.
The first main surface 11 of the cutter 10 and the second main surface 13 of the second cutter 12 are arranged on substantially the same plane. Further, the first side surface 14 of the first cutter 10 and the second side surface 16 of the second cutter 12 are formed to face each other and to be parallel to each other. Therefore, when the first cutter 10 and the second cutter 12 advance parallel to their main surfaces and the first side surface and the second side surface are butted against each other, these side surfaces come into close contact with each other. Therefore, as shown in c and d of FIG. 2, the angle between the first main surface 11 and the first side surface 14 of the first cutter 10 is α.
(obtuse angle) and the angle between the second main surface 13 and second side surface 16 of the second cutter 12 is β (acute angle).
They have a complementary angle relationship of α+β=180°.

As shown in FIG. 1, the groove portion 18 is a tetrahedron whose side is a portion ab of the intersection line between the second main surface 13 and the second side surface 16.
It is formed by cutting out ABCD. Second
Since the side surface 16 forms an acute angle β with respect to the second main surface 13, as shown in FIG. A recess is formed. Since the concave portion is formed in this way, the lead is guided to the valley of the concave portion, and therefore, there is no need to separately provide lead guiding means as in the conventional case.

置合わせにそれほどの厳密さが要求されない。 As already mentioned, in the reed cutter of the present invention, the side surface (first side surface 14) of one of the reed cutters (the first cutter) that is butted against each other is simply a flat surface, and therefore, the production of this cutter is difficult. Not only is this easy, but the positioning of the first cutter and the second cutter does not require great precision.

もよい。 In the embodiment of the present invention, three concave grooves are provided on the second main surface side of the second cutter, but in order to improve the sharpness of the cutter, each concave groove is provided on both sides facing the second main surface. A similar V-shaped concave groove 3 is provided on the third main surface 29.
0, 32, 34 and 36 may be provided. By providing such grooves, the three grooves provided on the second main surface 13 side and the four grooves provided on the third main surface 29 side meet on the second side surface. As a result, the edges formed on the second side surface become sharp, improving the sharpness of the reed. In addition, the first and second vines are basically not butted against each other on a plane perpendicular to the direction of movement, so when they are butted together, the first vine is marked by the arrow shown in Figure 2c. In the direction of C.
The second cutter may shift in the direction of arrow D shown in Figure 2d. In order to prevent this, protruding first shoulders 38, 40 are provided at both ends of the first side surface 14 of the first cutter, and first shoulder portions 38, 40 are provided at both ends of the second side surface 16 of the second cutter. There may also be provided second shoulders 42, 44, respectively, which are shaped to allow 40 to rest thereon from below.

The recessed groove provided in the cutter guides the lead to be cut to the proper position.
Unlike the conventional method, a separate lead guiding means is not required, and the structure is simple. Further, since the other side of the cutter of the present invention that is brought into contact with each other is a simple flat surface, strict alignment of the two pieces of the cutter with respect to each other is not required, and manufacturing is easy and inexpensive.
