Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily produce the above curved surface plywood having a complicated shape at a low cost by a method wherein a plurality of veneers are integrally bonded together. CONSTITUTION:After one side of a plywood 6, which is prepared by laminating a plurality of veneers, is set to the curved surfaces 4b of a sectional mold 4 housed in a vessel 1 and a bag 5 is set to the other side of the plywood, a lid 2 is fastened to the opening part 1a of the vessel 1 with bolts and nuts 9. Next, by applying compressed air having the pressure of 1.5kg/cm<2>, for example, to the bag 5, the plywood 6 is pressed. After about one hour, the pressure in the bag 5 is released and the lid 2 is removed so as to take out a plywood formed in the shape of a curved surface.

2. Description of the Related Art There are the following conventional methods for forming curved plywood. That is, a plywood obtained by stacking a plurality of veneers coated with an adhesive is placed in a molding die, pressed using a press, and a method of removing the die after the adhesive has hardened, a plywood set on the die A method of crimping with a large number of vise, removing the vise after the adhesive has hardened, and removing from the mold. Alternatively, relatively thick veneer or plywood is stepwise adhered to a shape close to the desired curved surface, and this is machined. It is a method of finishing into a smooth curved surface shape by processing.

However, in the case of the method described above, first of all, when using a press, a large amount of capital investment is required, the mold is expensive, and the number of manufacturing days is long, so a small amount is used. It is not suitable for the production of varieties, and therefore it takes a lot of days to manufacture the product, which is not preferable. Further, in the case of a deep drawn product, sufficient pressure cannot be applied to the vertical wall portion, so that sufficient adhesive strength cannot be obtained, and the curved surface portion may be deformed after long-term use. In addition, it is impossible to manufacture products with undercuts. Next, a method using a vise requires an expensive mold as described above, but since a vise is used, it is difficult to apply a uniform pressure to the product and bubbles are easily left between the veneers and easily peeled off. There are drawbacks. From the viewpoint of productivity, this method is suitable for small-lot production and small-lot production, but it is also uneconomical because expensive molds are used. Further, in the method of adhering a single plate or plywood stepwise, there is an advantage that a mold is unnecessary, but an expensive large-sized cutting machine is required,
Further, there is a defect that only a simple shaped product having a relatively large radius of curvature can be produced.

Reference numeral 3 denotes a ventilation pipe penetratingly fixed to the lid body 2, to which a pressurized gas pipe 8 having a pressure gauge attached is connected to the upper side, and a bag body 5 is connected to the lower side. The bag body 5 is made of rubber, rubberized cloth or the like, and the material is not particularly limited, but it is necessary that there is no gas leakage under the pressure required for molding and that it can easily follow the shape of the molded product or the shape of the container. There is. In this example, a rubber bag (automobile tire tube) was used. In this embodiment, pressurized air is injected into the bag body 5, but a pressurized liquid may be used depending on the case.

As shown in FIG. 1 (B), the mold assembly 4 includes five support plates 4c having five U-shaped curved surfaces 4b and four template plates 4a.
It is fixed at an interval of 60 mm. Although an iron plate having a thickness of 0.8 mm was used for the template 4a and the support plate 4c in the present embodiment, it is not necessary to limit to the above as long as it has appropriate rigidity and compressive strength. It is also possible to use a metal plate, a rigid resin plate, or the like. Further, the thickness of the mold plate 4a and the number of used mold plates can be determined in consideration of the size of the molded product, the material of the mold plate 4a, the pressing force of the bag body 5, and the like. Even if the shape of the molded product has an undercut, the molded product can be easily taken out by removing the molded product together with the assembled mold from the container and removing the assembled mold. Further, in the case of the present invention, a wooden mold or a metal mold can be used as in the conventional method, but since one of them is pressed by the bag body, it is not necessary to use a mating mold.

According to the present invention, when a curved plywood is manufactured by bonding and integrating a plurality of single plates, a bag body that can follow the curved surface to pressurize on one side is used without using a matching die. As a result, not only can a curved plywood be manufactured inexpensively and easily, but also a curved plywood having a complicated shape with an undercut can be obtained. Further, it is possible to provide a forming device for a curved plywood having the above effects.
