In the above configuration, when an operation input signal is applied between the input terminals 2a and 2b, the light emitting diode 1
emits light, which is received by the photodiode 3. The photodiode 3 generates a current flowing in accordance with the amount of light received, and causes the resistor 4 to generate a voltage. This voltage provides gate voltage as a control voltage to MOS FET5, and MOS FET5
conducts. That is, the drain and source of the MOS FET 5 function as a contact point.

However, in the case of conventional semiconductor relays, the operation input signal is photoelectrically converted, and this output turns on the MOS FET as a switching element, thereby making the MOS FET conductive. If you try to drive a FET, the turn-on time will increase in inverse proportion to this, making it difficult to perform high-speed opening and closing operations as a relay.

[Means for solving the problem] The present invention includes a first light emitting diode that emits light in response to an input signal, and a relatively small signal that receives only the light emitted by the first light emitting diode. A first photo sensor that generates a photo sensor, a first semiconductor switch element that is turned on and off using this relatively small signal as a control signal, and a first semiconductor switch element that is arranged in series with the first semiconductor switch element and that receives light guided from the outside. A second photo sensor that receives light, and a second relay contact that is controlled on and off using a relatively large signal output from the second photo sensor as a control signal via the first semiconductor switch element.
A semiconductor relay is provided with a semiconductor switch element.

In other words, in the present invention, the first semiconductor switch connected after the first photo sensor performs low power control, so a structure with a small input capacity can be used, and the turn-on time can be shortened, so the relay can achieve high-speed operation.

In FIG. 1, a resistor 7 is connected between the outputs of the photodiode 3, and the gate and source of a MOS FET 8 as a second semiconductor switch are connected between this resistor. The anode of a photodiode 9 as a light receiving element is connected to the drain of the MOS FET 9, and the resistor 4 and the MOS FET 5 shown in FIG. 3 are connected between the cathode and the ground.

In the above configuration, when an operation input signal is applied to the input terminals 2a and 2b, the MOS FET 8 becomes conductive by the output of the photodiode 3, as described in FIG. At this time, if the photodiode 9 is irradiated with external light, the photodiode 9 becomes conductive, current flows through the resistor 4, and a voltage is generated across the resistor 8. This resistance 4
The voltage generated in the MOS FET 5 becomes the gate voltage of the MOS FET 5, and the MOS FET 5 becomes conductive, turning the relay on.

In this manner, when an operation input signal is applied while the photodiode 9 is in the light receiving state, the MOS FET 5 opens and closes depending on the presence or absence of this signal, and functions as a relay. In this case, MOS FET5
The gate voltage of is generated by photodiode 9, and the voltage generated by photodiode 3 is MOS
It is used only to switch FET8. Therefore, the MOS FET 8 only needs to have a small current capacity, and as a result, a type with a small gate input capacity can be used, and a semiconductor relay that consumes low power and can operate at high speed can be realized.

FIG. 2 is a sectional view showing the mounting state of the embodiment of FIG. 1. The light emitting diode 1 and the photodiode 3 are arranged facing each other with a predetermined interval, and a lead terminal 10 is connected to each, and a photodiode 9 is arranged adjacent to them. A mold 12 made of non-transparent resin is provided with a suitable space secured around each member and with a lighting window 11 formed above the photodiode 9. Transparent resins 13 and 14 are filled in the spaces formed around each member.

By filling the translucent resin 13, light from the light emitting diode 1 enters the photodiode 9, and a mold 12 is formed around the translucent resin 13.
Since the light emitting diode 1 is provided, the light emitted from the light emitting diode 1 does not leak to the outside. Further, in the case of the photodiode 9, since a part of the light-transmitting resin 14 is exposed outside the mold 12 through the lighting window 11, the photodiode 9 can be irradiated with light from the outside. For example, in various devices and alarm devices installed outdoors, such as a light alarm device, external light can be taken in and used through the lighting window 11.

As described above, according to the present invention, a driving source for the second semiconductor switch for main opening/closing is separately provided, and the second semiconductor switch is driven by the light emitted from the first light emitting diode that emits light in accordance with an input signal. a first light emitting switch connected to a first photo sensor that receives light; and a second light emitting switch that receives light guided from the outside.
It is now driven by a photo sensor. Therefore, a device with a small input capacitance can be used as the first semiconductor switch, and a semiconductor relay capable of high-speed operation can be realized. Moreover, since the second photo sensor receives light guided from the outside, less energy is required inside the relay, which not only enables high-sensitivity and high-speed operation, but also enables energy-saving and economical semiconductors. A relay can be configured. Furthermore, since the on/off operation of the semiconductor relay is determined by the mutual relationship between the first and second photo sensors, there is also the advantage that the semiconductor relay can operate like a relay with a photosensor function, for example.
