However, in the process of generating the triangular wave signal, there is no infinite band in the amplifier, and ringing at the tip of the triangle wave or so-called rounding is unavoidable, so use the tip of the triangle wave signal. The conventional circuit that must be performed has a drawback that the linearity of the input / output characteristics deteriorates especially when the signal level of the drive signal c decreases.

When the constant current source 2 of 1 is in the inactive state, that is, when the transistors Q 3 and Q 4 are in the off state due to the turning on of the transistor Q 6 , the capacitor C 1 receives the constant current supplied from the first constant current source 1. As a result, as shown in FIG. 2 (a), the battery is charged with a constant inclination angle. Then, when the voltage across the capacitor C 1 reaches the lower limit reference level V L of the comparison circuit 3, the comparator COMP 2 generates a low level pulse (c), and in response to this pulse (c), the RS-FF 4 The output (d) transits to the high level. As shown by, changes into a triangular wave and is output as a first-phase triangular wave signal φa via the operational amplifier OP 3 and the inverter 7
As a result of the phase inversion at, the signal is output as the second-phase triangular-wave signal φb having the same peak value and the opposite phase to the first-phase triangular-wave signal φa as shown by the broken line in FIG. The two-phase triangular wave signals φa and φb serve as reference inputs to the comparison circuit 9.

Here, when the motor M is, for example, a spindle motor that rotationally drives a compact disc, an error signal obtained by comparing a reproduction synchronization signal from the disc and a reference synchronization signal becomes the drive signal, and based on this error signal Drive control of the spindle motor is performed. This is the so-called spindle servo.

It has two inputs to the OR gate 11, and the AND gate 10 has a high level when both inputs are high, that is, the signal level of the drive signal is
When it is higher than 1/2 Vref level, it outputs a high level pulse (f), and NOR gate 11 outputs low level when both inputs are low.
That is, when the signal level of the drive signal is lower than the 1/2 Vref level, a high level pulse (g) is output. Therefore, the AND gate 10 and the NOR gate 11 output the pulse signals (f) and (g) corresponding to the driving direction of the motor M. Since the case where the signal level of the drive signal is constant has been described here, the pulse widths of the pulses (f) and (g) are constant, but this pulse width changes according to the signal level of the drive signal. It is easy to understand what to do.

By performing PWM operation using the straight line part of a and φb, ringing may occur at the tip of the triangular wave,
Even if so-called blunting occurs, there is no deterioration in linearity when the signal level of the drive signal becomes small.

That is, as shown in FIG. 4A, when the pulse width of the pulse signal when the drive signal has a certain signal level is T O , the drive power by this pulse signal is the pulse width T O and the drive voltage V O. Current value setting circuit 6 that sets the constant current value of the constant current sources 1 and 2
The reference level for comparison is the reference power supply voltage Vr due to the resistors R 11 and R 12.
Since the reference level is set according to the fluctuation of the power supply voltage, the current value setting circuit 6 sets the first and second constant current sources according to the fluctuation of the power supply voltage. The constant current value of 1 and 2 can be controlled. As a result, the inclination angle of the triangular wave changes as shown in FIG. 4 (B). On the other hand, the upper and lower comparison reference levels V U and V L of the comparison circuit 3 are also the reference power supply voltage Vr due to the resistors R 5 to R 8.
Since it is set by the voltage division of ef, the reference power supply voltage Vr
If ef becomes 1/2, the upper and lower comparison reference levels V U , V
L also becomes 1/2, and as a result, the peak value V P of the triangular wave becomes 1/2 before the power supply fluctuation as shown in FIG. 4 (B). Therefore, by setting the inclination angle of the triangular wave so that the repetition cycle of the triangular wave is the same before and after the power supply change,
Since a pulse signal having a doubled pulse width (2T O ) is generated, even if the drive voltage V D becomes 1/2, the drive power by the pulse signal becomes the same as before the power supply change.

It is possible to always keep constant regardless of the fluctuation of. The inclination angle of the triangular wave is determined by the constant current values of the first and second constant current sources 1 and 2 and the capacitance of the capacitor C 1 .

If it changes as shown by the one-dot chain line in FIG. 5A, two pulse signals (b) and (c) having a pulse width corresponding to the polarity and signal level of the drive signal are output from the AND gate 10 and the NOR gate 11. And each becomes one input of the AND gates 13 and 14, respectively. The drive signal also serves as a comparison input of the comparator COMP 5, and the polarity with respect to the signal reference level 1/2 Vref is determined. The D-FF 12 that receives the comparison output (d) of the comparator COMP 5 as a data input is an RS-F in the triangular wave generation circuit 8.
The F4 Q output (e) is used as the trigger input, and Q, output (f), and Q are output at the falling timing of the Q output (e).
(G) is generated. The Q, outputs (f) and (g) are supplied to the AND gates 13 and 14 as gate control signals.

Although it is used as the trigger input of the FF12, it can be used as the trigger input of the D-FF12 via a pulse generator that generates a pulse at the rising and falling timings of the Q output (e). According to this, the cycle of polarity determination is halved, and the resolution can be doubled.

As for the reverse drive pulse signal (first pulse) instantaneously generated from the NOR gate 11 as shown in FIG. 5 (c), the output (g) is at a low level at the time of generation, The AND gate 14 operates to prohibit its output.
The reason for prohibiting this will be described below.

Q 15 and Q 18 are instantly turned on in response to the disappearance of the drive pulse of power transistors Q 12 and Q 10 , and the delay time t OFF is set by short-circuiting the base and emitter of these transistors Q 12 and Q 10. 7A to 7C respectively show waveforms of signals (a) to (c) of FIG. 7 correspondingly. If explaining the circuit operation of FIG. 7 with reference to the waveform diagram for example with respect to an AND gate 10, a pulse signal (a) driving pulse is delayed by the time tau O by the delay circuit 23 the motor M (b) At this time, in response to the low level inhibit signal (c) output from the one-shot multivibrator 27, the buffer 26 cuts off the output line of the other drive pulse. Thus, the output of the other drive pulses during a predetermined period before and after the occurrence generation of the drive pulse (b) (time tau O) is to be inhibited, the power transistors Q 12 previously described time tau O, By setting the delay time t OFF longer than Q 10 , the power transistors Q 9 and Q 10 (or Q

Reference numeral 16 is for compensating for the energy loss in the back electromotive force absorption diodes D 1 and D 2 in the motor drive circuit 18. The energy loss in the counter electromotive force absorption diodes D 1 and D 2 is almost constant and can be ignored when the pulse width of the pulse signal is large, but when the pulse width is small, the loss ratio is large. Is coming. Therefore, as indicated by the broken line in FIG. 9, the gain is reduced in the region where the pulse width of the pulse signal is small, so that when the pulse width is small, the reverse electromotive force absorption diodes D 1 and D 2 You just have to compensate for the energy loss.

ある。Here, if the circuit operation of the compensation circuit 15 is described with reference to the waveform diagram of FIG. 10, the capacitor C 2 is a constant current source.
Charged with a constant current by Ia, input pulse (a)
Transistor Q 7 in response the charging electric charge of the capacitor C 2 by the ON state is instantaneously discharged, the capacitor C 2 again from the time the input pulse (a) ceases to exist is charged at a constant current to. Therefore, the voltage across capacitor C 2
It changes as shown in Fig. 10 (b). This voltage across both ends (b) is compared with the reference voltage E O by the comparator COMP8, and as a result, at the output end of the comparator COMP8, the pulse of the time from when the input pulse (a) is generated until a certain time Ta elapses after its disappearance. A pulse signal (c) having a width will be obtained. That is, a fixed pulse width Ta is added to the input pulse (a), and the energy in the counter electromotive force absorption diodes D 1 and D 2 is changed by the energy corresponding to the added pulse width Ta. The loss can be compensated.

The voltage across the capacitor C 2 is the reference voltage E O of the comparator COMP8. No additional pulse width is added in the pulse width area of the input pulse that cannot be reduced to 0, and the additional pulse width changes proportionally in the area until reaching the zero level below the reference voltage E O , and after reaching the zero level. In the area of, the added pulse width is a fixed width. That is, in the region where the pulse width of the input pulse is extremely small, no additional pulse width is added or the additional pulse width changes proportionally. This is because the rising and falling edges of the input pulse are not steep and are actually gentle. As a result, the gain can be improved in the range of the region as shown by the solid line in FIG.

ない。The compensating circuits 15 and 16 are not limited to those of the configuration of the above embodiment, and for example, as shown in FIG. 12, a pulse signal having a constant pulse width Tb in response to the rising edge of the input pulse is used. It may be configured by a pulse generating circuit 29 for generating and an OR gate 30 which takes the logical sum of the output pulse and the input pulse of the pulse generating circuit 29. In such a configuration, when the pulse width of the input pulse is smaller than the pulse width Tb, a pulse signal having the pulse width Tb is always output from the OR gate 30,
When the pulse width of the input pulse is small, the energy loss in the back electromotive force absorption diodes D 1 and D 2 is compensated. When the pulse width of the input pulse is larger than the pulse width Tb, the pulse width for the input pulse is increased. Is not changed.

Even if there is a drop or a rounding, these effects are not affected at all, and the linearity of the input / output characteristics can be improved especially when the signal level of the drive signal is low. Further, even when the phases of the two-phase triangular wave signals are deviated, the polarity discriminating means and the drive pulse generating means can prevent the generation of unnecessary drive pulse signals. It is effective for a driving circuit to be driven.
