と平行になるように貼着するのが好ましい。この針葉樹
単板2aの表面には化粧層3として、突板、化粧紙、化
粧合成樹脂シート等の化粧シートが貼着されたり、塗装
が施されている。4、5は基板の木口に形成された雄ざ
ねと雌ざねである。また、パーティクルボード1は木口
からの吸水が大きく、吸水すると膨潤しやすいため、木
口に防水処理が施されて防水層6が形成されている。防
水層6は裏面にも形成してもよい。図2は、パーティク
ルボード1の裏面にも、表面に貼着した針葉樹単板2a
と同様の針葉樹単板2bが貼着されている状態を示して
おり、この場合は防水処理は木口部分のみでよい。

交させて使用したうえにさらに中質繊維板7を貼着した
ものである。このように複数枚の針葉樹単板を使用する
場合はパ−ティクルボ−ド1と直接接する針葉樹単板を
パ−ティクルボ−ド1の長手方向と平行になるようにし
てもよいし、また直交するようにしてもよい。図3〜5
に示した基板にも、その木口にあるいは木口と裏面に防
水処理を施してもよいことはもちろんである。
