Description
底部を、超音波横振動を利用して異形に溶着シールする
溶着部成形用ホーンの構造に関するものである。
からなる単層または多層チューブ、あるいは内部にアル
ミニウム箔、紙シート等を設けたラミネートチューブ等
の合成樹脂製チューブにおいて、内容物を充填した後、
その底部を溶着シールする手段としては、従来、熱溶
着、高周波溶着、ホットエアー溶着、超音波溶着(縦振
動方式)等の溶着方法が知られている。
おいては、底部のシール、すなわち溶着部は、チューブ
本体に対して真横直線状に溶着されるのが一般的である
が、近年、チューブ容器の多様化に伴って、図8に示す
ように、チューブ12の底部に成形される溶着部13の
形状も円弧状等、真横直線状以外の形状の溶着部(本明
細書では異形溶着部と云う)を採ることが多くなってき
ている
合、溶着範囲がチューブの上下方向(長手方向)に長く
なるため、充填時に内容物が溶着面の一部に付着し易く
なるが、溶着面に内容物が付着すると、前記したいずれ
の溶着手段も、成形された溶着部の溶着強度が大幅に低
下してしまい、充分な強度の溶着部を成形できないと云
う問題があった。

異形溶着部を、超音波横振動を利用して成形することを
技術的課題とし、もって充分な強度の異形溶着部を成形
することを目的とする。

して有ること、この溶着凸部を凸設した先端部の表面
は、先端部における超音波横振動の振幅幅分布特性と、
振幅縦分布特性とによって決定される溶着可能領域とな
った表面であること、先端部の表面に凸設された溶着凸
部の突出端面形状は、チューブ本体部分に対して真横直
線状以外の異形となっていること、にある。

ので、熱溶着、高周波溶着、ホットエアー溶着等に比べ
て遙に大きな溶着エネルギーを伝達することができる。

面同志は、押圧された状態で、互いに擦れる方向、すな
わち溶着面に沿った方向に、相対的に振動変位すること
になるが、この相対的な振動変位により、溶着面に付着
した内容物は、その大部分がこの溶着面から絞り出され
る形態で押し出され、例え微量の内容物が残留したとし
ても、この残留内容物は微小粒状となってしまうので、
溶着部の溶着は確実に達成されることになる。

体部2の下に、この本体部2の前後幅を漸減した先端部
3を設け、この先端部3の先端側前後両面に溶着凸部4
を一体に凸設し、全体をチタン合金等の超音波伝達効率
が良く、機械強度の優れた金属体により一体成形されて
いる。

4の凸設により、先端部3の先端部分には凹部が形成さ
れ、この凹部が、溶着部13成形時に、この溶着部13
に隣接するチューブ12部分がホーン1に不要に接触し
ないようにする逃げ凹部6を形成している。
形突起部であるナール5(図5、参照)が、斜めにクロ
スした多数の細溝を多数刻設して設けられており、この
ナール5を設けることにより、ホーン1から溶着部13
に伝達される超音波エネルギーの伝達効率を高めてい
る。
は、ホーン1の先端部3に均一に伝達されるのではな
く、図6に示した分布で伝達される。この先端部3にお
ける超音波の伝達分布の振幅幅分布特性aは、中央部か
ら両側端部にゆくに従って小さくなり、また振幅縦分布
特性bは、先端にゆく従って大きくなる。

この先端部3における超音波の伝達分布特性の実測例を
図7に示す。
たホーン1は、図7(a)に示すように、先端部3の幅
が70mm、厚みが9mmの構造を有し、この先端部3の中
心線上、および中心線から左右30mmの位置で、先端部
3の先端から5mm間隔で6ケ所で、20KHzで20μの
超音波を入力して、先端部3の超音波の振幅を測定し
た。その結果を、図7(b)に示す。
超音波横振動で完全に溶着できる振幅は、通常20KHz
で70μ〜100μであるから、先端部3における溶着
可能領域Tは、図7(b)の斜線を付した部分となり、
この溶着可能領域T内に溶着凸部4を設けることによ
り、この溶着凸部4の形状通りに異形な溶着部13を成
形することができる。

な溶着部13を成形するには、溶着凸部4全域の振幅が
略等しいことが望ましく、このことから溶着凸部4の形
状は、先端部3の先端左右両端を下端とした図2に示す
円弧状とするのが有利である。
で、以下に示す効果を奏する。ホーンの溶着凸部を、実
測等で求められる溶着可能領域内に設けるので、チュー
ブの異形溶着部の成形を確実に達成でき、また溶着凸部
は溶着可能領域内であれば、その形状が限定されること
がないので、自由な形状の異形溶着部の成形が可能とな
る。
するので、溶着部の溶着面に内容物が付着したとして
も、溶着部の溶着シールを確実に達成することができ、
もって充分な強度の異形溶着部を成形することができ
る。

- 【請求項1】 超音波横振動で合成樹脂製チューブ(12)
の溶着部(13)を成形するホーン(1) であって、本体部
(2) に対して厚みを漸減した先端部(3) の、該先端部
(3) における超音波横振動の振幅幅分布特性(a) と、振
幅縦分布特性(b)とによって決定される溶着可能領域(T)
表面に、真横直線状以外の異形な突出端面形状となっ
た溶着凸部(4) を一体に凸設したチューブの異形溶着部
成形用ホーン。 - 【請求項2】 溶着凸部(4) の突出端面に、多数の角形
突起部であるナール(5) を設けた請求項1に記載のチュ
ーブの異形溶着部成形用ホーン。 - 【請求項3】 溶着凸部(4) を、溶着可能領域(T) の振
幅が略等しい部分を結んで構成した請求項1または2に
記載のチューブの異形溶着部成形用ホーン。
