Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 （産業上の利用分野） この考案は野球・ソフトボール用捕球具に関し特に親指
部の背面を補強する技術に関する。
（従来の技術） 野球・ソフトボール用捕球具は、天然の牛皮等で捕球面
皮を形成し、牛皮又は合成皮革等の背面皮で本体を形成
し、フエルト等の芯材を所望部に内蔵していた。
そして、捕球の反復による型崩れや突き指などを予防す
るために種々の提案がなされている。
例えば、実公昭30−8931号では、捕球具の背面に背皮を
利用して包被部を作出し、平鋼線等の弾力材を挿入して
包被被覆し縫着することによって型崩れや突き指を予防
しようと試みている。
又、実公昭55−25330号では、適宜幅のテープ状袋体を
設けてその中に薄い金属板等の稍弾力性を有する板体を
装着することによって補強し、型崩れや突き指などを防
止することが提案されている。
又、実公昭61−9672号では、指袋背面の突き合わせ部に
強靱な補強帯を設け、型崩れと指袋が後屈するのを予防
することが提案されている。
又、特願昭63−129876号では、野球用グラブの外殻を合
成樹脂で形成し、母指形と小指形の背面所望部を硬質材
で補強し、その他の指袋の先端部位には突出部を形成
し、形成上の効率化と使用上指袋が後屈するのを予防す
ることが提案されている。
（考案が解決しようとする課題） 前記平鋼線等の弾力材を挿入したものは張力は生じる
が、保形力は劣り型崩れを予防するだけの作用は期待で
きない。そこで、後者のように、テープ状袋体を設けて
弾力性を有する板体を装着する考案もなされたが、これ
はテープ状袋体を縫着する工程を要し、かつ捕球具を反
復屈曲しているうちに装着した板体の端部で袋体を破っ
て板体が飛び出すおそれがあり、特に、板体に金属板を
用いると繰り返し捕球具を屈曲しているうちに塑性変形
をきたして歪みが生じ、悪い形状に癖がつく欠点があっ
た。
又、指袋背面の突き合わせ部に強靱な補強帯を設けたも
のにあっては、補強帯が皮革を主体としたものであり、
型崩れと指袋が後屈するのを予防するのには未だ強度が
不十分であることが判明した。
特に、親指部は最も捕球衝撃を受ける度合いが大きく、
従来の補強体では満足な結果が得られないという状況で
あった。
又、野球用グラブの外殻を合成樹脂で形成したものにあ
っては、母指形と小指形の屈曲性を保持するために、合
成樹脂で形成し本体に硬質材で補強すると、屈曲性が劣
るということが判明した。
（課題を解決するための手段） 前記欠点に鑑みて、特に捕球具の親指部の背面部を補強
しようとするもので、塑性変形が起こりにくい合成樹脂
によって型崩れと突き指及び激突時に手の打撲を予防す
ることを目的とするものである。
すなわち、捕球面部と背面部とで本体を形成する野球・
ソフトボール用捕球具において、該背面部の親指部の表
面に合成樹脂やエラストマーその他任意材からなる保型
部材と、該保型部材と背面部の間の所望部に、保型部材
よりも剛性、硬度の高い素材からなる補強部材を一体に
固着した野球・ソフトボール用捕球具である。
なお、保型部材と補強部材を一体に固着したものを、背
面部に固着する方法としては、縫製前の背面部に射出成
形して同時一体成形してもよいし、別途保型部材と補強
部材を一体に成形しておいたものを背面部に接着及び縫
製して固着することもできる。
更に、補強部材としてスタンパブルシートを介在してハ
イブリッド化する場合に、保型部材と同種の合成樹脂を
マトリックス樹脂として使用すれば、保型部材を形成す
る際インサート成形ができ、コスト的にも、接着性の点
でもメリットが生じる。
（作用） この考案は、内皮と外皮の２層よりなる背面部の親指部
の表面に、剛性の高い合成樹脂やエラストマー等の保型
部材と補強部材を一体的に固着したから、該保型部材と
補強部材によって捕球具の形態を意志通りに保型するこ
とができ、しかも捕球を反復しても型崩れするおそれは
ない。
例えば、本体を捕球しやすい形態に湾曲せしめて、背面
部の表面に保型部材と補強部材を固着すると、その形態
を維持して変形しない。又、本体の親指袋を指の断面形
態に合うように維持しつつ背面部の表面に保型部材と補
強部材を固着すると、親指袋は指の挿脱をスムーズにす
る形態に仕上がり、型崩れせず、かつ該保型部材と補強
部材がリブの作用を奏して逆反りを防止し突き指を減少
せしめる。
特に、打球を追ってフェンスに捕球具を激突させたり、
タッチプレーなどで捕球具の背面部に衝撃を受けた場
合、保型部材及び補強部材によって、手を保護する作用
を奏する。
（実施例） 本考案野球・ソフトボール用捕球具の実施例を図面に基
づき説明する。
捕球面皮１と、内皮２と外皮３の間に緩衝体７を全面又
は部分的に内蔵せしめた背面部４とで本体Ａを形成す
る。
次に、前記背面部４の親指部の表面に、剛性の高い合成
樹脂やエラストマー等からなる保型部材５と、前記保型
部材５より剛性、硬度の高い素材、例えばスタンパブル
シート等のクロスやマット材のFRTPシートや短繊維使用
のFRTPシートや繊維強化プラスチック（FRP）シートや
プラスチック等で形成した補強部材６を形成し、前記保
型部材５と背面部４との間の所望部に前記補強部材６を
設け、保型部材５と補強部材６と背面部４を一体的に固
着し、本考案野球・ソフトボール用捕球具を形成する。
保型部材５には、開口部Ｃや、該開口部Ｃの外周を取り
巻く肉厚のリブＢを設けることも任意に実施可能であ
る。
保型部材５と補強部材６を、背面部４に一体的に固着す
る手段としては、外皮３の表面に補強部材６を接着し、
その上に保型部材５を射出して、補強部材６を保型部材
５で被覆状に一体に成型する方法や、予め保型部材５と
補強部材６を一体に形成し、背面部４の親指袋の表面に
縫着又は接着その他任意の手段により固着する。
（考案の効果） 捕球具の背面部の親指部の表面に設ける保型部材と補強
部材を、本体Ａが捕球に最も好都合な形態にして固着す
ると、当初の形態を長く維持し、捕球を反復しても型崩
れすることがなく、捕球が容易となる。
又、保型部材にリブを設けたものは、リブの剛性が増し
て捕球具の逆ぞりを防止する効果が更に良好となる。
又、補強部材にスタンパブルシートを使用したものは、
適度な弾力性と反発性が生じて使用感が向上する。
又、打球を追ってフェンスに捕球具の背面を激突させた
り、タッチプレーで捕球具の背面に衝撃を受けたとき、
保型部材が緩衝して手を痛めることを予防する効果があ
り、保型部材の下の補強部材は逆反りの予防に顕著な効
果がある。

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】捕球面部と背面部とで本体を形成する野球
    ・ソフトボール用捕球具において、該背面部の親指部の
    表面に合成樹脂やエラストマーその他任意材からなる保
    型部材と、該保型部材と背面部の間の所望部に、保型部
    材よりも剛性、硬度の高い素材からなる補強部材を一体
    に固着したことを特徴とする野球・ソフトボール用捕球
    具。
  2. 【請求項２】前記補強部材は、スタンパブルシート等の
    クロスやマット基材のFRTPシートや短繊維使用のFRTPシ
    ートや繊維強化プラスチックシートやプラスチック等よ
    りなることを特徴とする実用新案登録請求の範囲第１項
    記載の野球・ソフトボール用捕球具。
