Abstract
Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.電気化学電池と、該電池に付される装飾用ラベルの組合せであって;電気化 学電池は長軸を有し、両端に第1の肩部と第2の肩部があるシリンドリカル状壁 部を有する金属ハウジングを具えており;その改良された点は、ラベルが熱収縮 性のフィルムであって、第1の縁部は電池の長軸方向の位置で、シリンドリカル 状の壁に取り付けられ、ラベルの主要部分は接着物質を含まず、実質的に収縮さ れず、シリンドリカル状の壁部に密着して巻きつけられ;ラベルの第2の縁部は 第1の縁部に重なって、第1の縁部に接合され;ラベルの第3及び第4の縁部は 第1の肩部と第2の肩部に重なり;第3の縁部と第4の縁部は収縮されて、電気 化学電池の端部に密着され;装飾ラベルは、その透明部を通して見ることができ る位置に、シリンドリカル状の壁に接触する熱収縮性フィルムの表面に印刷され た表示体を有している。 2.ラベルは、第2の縁部が、電池の長軸方向の位置で、溶剤融着により第1の 縁部に接合されている請求項1に記載の組合せ。 3.ラベルは、ポリ塩化ビニル(PVC)、ポリエチレンテレフタラート(PE T)、及びグリコール改質されたポリエチレンテレフタラート(PETG)から なる群か ら選択される熱収縮性重合フィルムを具えている請求項1に記載の組合せ。 4.フィルムは単一のシートであり、電池ラベルの周方向に、フィルムの引き伸 ばし前の長さの約2.0〜2.2倍の長さに熱で引き伸ばされており、フィルムは、電 池ラベルの長軸方向に、引き伸ばし前の長さの約0〜0.1倍の長さに熱で引き伸ば されている請求項1に記載の組合せ。 5.電池のケーシングと、装飾ラベルとの間に、電池の状態を表示するインジケ ータが設けられている請求項1の組合せ。 6.ラベルは電池状態を表示するインジケータを一体に具えている請求項1の組 合せ。 7.シリンドリカル状のケーシングを有する電気化学電池に、フィルムのラベル を取り付ける方法であって: a)重合フィルムを、第1の方向に向けて、第1の方向と直角の第2の方向よ りも大きな程度に、熱で引き伸ばすステップ; b)電池ラベルのデザインをフィルムの一表面に印刷するステップ; c)ラベルは、電池の長軸方向となる長さ部が電池ケーシングの長さよりも大 きくなるように、また、長さ方向に対して直角方向となる幅部が電池の周囲より も大きくなるように、前記ラベルをフィルムから切り取 るステップ; d)ラベルの第1の縁部をケーシングに接触させるステップ; f)第1の方向は電池の周囲を辿る方向であり、第2の方向は電池の長軸方向 と略平行であり、ラベルの一部がケーシングの各端部を越えてはみ出すように、 ケーシングの周囲にラベルを巻き付けるステップ; g)ラベルの第2の縁部を、第1の縁部の外表面の隣接部分に重ね合わせて接 合するステップ;及び h)ラベルに熱を加えて、ケーシングの端部の周りに、前記はみ出し部分を収 縮させるステップ、から構成される。 8.ラベルのデザイン層と同じ側の面に、電池の長軸方向と平行に、ラベルの第 1の縁部に対して接着剤を帯状に塗布するステップを有している請求項7に記載 の方法。 9.フィルムは、第1の方向に、フィルムの引き伸ばし前の長さの約2.0〜2.2倍 の長さに熱で引き伸ばされ、ラベルは、第2の方向に、ラベルの引き伸ばし前の 長さの約0〜0.1倍の長さに熱で引き伸ばされる請求項7に記載の方法。 10.第1の縁部と第2の縁部の間のフィルムを軟化させることのできる揮発性 溶剤を施すことにより、ラベルの第2の縁部は、ラベルの第1の縁部の外表面に 接 合される請求項7に記載の方法。
