Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、摩擦溶着加工の際に優
れた溶着強度を有し、複雑形状の部品、例えば二輪およ
び四輪自動車のオイルタンク、吸気系部品、その他の容
器類などを製造することに適した摩擦溶着用ポリアミド
樹脂組成物に関する。
【0002】ここで、摩擦溶着とは2つ以上の成形品の
間に発生する摩擦熱を利用して溶着させる方法であり、
振動溶着法、スピン溶着法などが含まれる。すなわち、
摩擦溶着用材料は、中空部品や複雑形状部品など通常の
射出成形のみでは成形が困難な部品を製造するために、
2つあるいはそれ以上に分割して成形した後、摩擦熱を
利用して接合する際に使用される。

【従来の技術およびその問題点】ポリアミド樹脂は、機
械的特性および耐熱性、耐薬品性に優れたエンジニアリ
ングプラスチックとして広い用途分野で使用されてい
る。また、ポリアミド樹脂に無機充填材を配合すること
によりさらに強度が向上するため、無機充填材で強化し
た状態でも広く使用されている。
【0004】特にポリアミド66樹脂は、耐熱性が高く
自動車部品などの高温環境下で広く利用されている。し
かし、ポリアミド66樹脂は溶着性に劣るという欠点が
あった。
【0005】
【発明が解決しようとする課題】本発明者は、ポリアミ
ド66樹脂の溶着性を改良するために鋭意研究した結
果、本発明に到達した。
【0006】
【課題を解決するための手段】本発明は、(A)ポリア
ミド6成分2〜25重量%とポリアミド66成分98〜
75重量%とからなるポリアミド共重合体40〜95重
量%、および(B)無機充填材5〜60重量%を含む摩
擦溶着用材料に関する。
【0007】本発明において、ポリアミド6とはポリカ
プラミド、ポリアミド66とはヘキサメチレンジアミン
とアジピン酸の重縮合体である。
【0008】本発明のポリアミド共重合体を構成するポ
リアミド6成分とポリアミド66成分との割合は、ポリ
アミド6成分/ポリアミド66成分=2〜25重量%/
98〜75重量%であるのが好ましい。
【0009】ポリアミド6成分の割合が2重量%以下で
は溶着性が低下し、また、25重量%以上では耐熱性が
低下するので好ましくない。
【0010】本発明に使用する無機充填材として、具体
例としては、炭酸カルシウム、ケイ酸カルシウム(ワラ
ストナイト)、タルク、カオリン、マイカ、酸化チタ
ン、アルミナ、シリカ、フェライト、炭酸などの粉末
や、ガラス繊維、炭素繊維、金属繊維、ホウ素繊維、チ
タン酸カリウム繊維、セラミック繊維などの繊維を挙げ
ることができる。無機フィラーは、単独でまたは2種以
上を組合わせて用いてもよい。
【0011】無機充填材は、ポリアミド樹脂と無機充填
材の合計100重量%当たり5〜60重量%、好ましく
は20〜35重量%の範囲で添加される。5重量%以下
では機械的強度の向上という点で効果は現れず、60重
量%以上添加すると成形品の表面性が悪化するので好ま
しくない。
【0012】本発明の摩擦溶着用材料は、前記ポリアミ
ド共重合体と無機充填材とを溶融混練することによって
容易に調製することができる。
【0013】この発明の摩擦溶着用材料は、要求される
特性に応じて他の添加剤、例えば耐熱剤、紫外線吸収剤
を含む耐候剤、難燃剤、帯電防止剤、滑剤、可塑剤、核
剤、発泡剤、着色剤、安定剤、カップリング剤などを含
有することができる。

【実施例】ポリアミド6とポリアミド66の比率を変え
たポリアミド6/66共重合体と無機充填材を溶融混練
し、以下の方法で評価を行なった。
【0015】なお、以下に示す実施例、比較例に記され
た溶着強度は図1に示す箱型の成形品をブランソン
(株)製の振動溶着機を用いて加圧下にて溶着して、図
に示す部分を切り出し、引張り強さを測定したものであ
る。溶着条件を以下に示す。
【0016】 溶着条件 溶着機 ブランソン(株)製振動溶着機 振動数 120Hz 振幅 2mm 加圧力 3MPa 溶着代 1.2および2.0mm
【0017】実施例1 ポリアミド6成分の含有量が5重量%のポリアミド6/
66共重合体70重量%とガラス繊維30重量%を溶融
混練して、摩擦溶着用材料を得た。この材料の評価結果
を表1に示す。
【0018】実施例2 ポリアミド6成分の含有量が15重量%のポリアミド6
/66共重合体70重量%とガラス繊維30重量%を溶
融混練して、摩擦溶着用材料を得た。この材料の評価結
果を表1に示す。
【0019】実施例3 ポリアミド6成分の含有量が25重量%のポリアミド6
/66共重合体70重量%とガラス繊維30重量%を溶
融混練して、摩擦溶着用材料を得た。この材料の評価結
果を表1に示す。
【0020】比較例1 ポリアミド66 70重量%とガラス繊維30重量%を
溶融混練して、摩擦溶着用材料を得た。この材料の評価
結果を表1に示す。
【0021】実施例4 ポリアミド6成分の含有量が15重量%のポリアミド6
/66共重合体70重量%とカオリン30重量%を溶融
混練して、摩擦溶着用材料を得た。この材料の評価結果
を表1に示す。
【0022】比較例2 ポリアミド66 70重量%とカオリン30重量%を溶
融混練して、摩擦溶着用材料を得た。この材料の評価結
果を表1に示す。

【発明の効果】本発明において、ポリアミド6成分2〜
25重量%とポリアミド66成分98〜75重量%とか
らなるポリアミド6/66共重合体に無機充填材を配合
することにより、摩擦溶着に適した摩擦溶着用材料が得
られる。
