Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.第1端部及び第2端部を有するアームと、 前記アームの第2端部に取り付けた力伝達部材と、 前記アームの前記第1端部に加わる力を検出し、アームを介して力伝達部材 に伝達する力センサと、 前記力センサと力伝達部材との間に位置決めし、前記力伝達部材を前記力セ ンサに取り付けるエラストマー接着剤と を備えたことを特徴とするポインティングデバイス。 2.前記力伝達部材を前記ポインティングデバイス内に取り付けるリテーナを設 けた請求項1記載のポインティングデバイス。 3.リテーナが前記アームの第1端部の変位距離を制限して、前記アームの第1 端部は変位距離に特徴があるものとした請求項2記載のポインティングデバイス 。 4.前記リテーナをシェルとした請求項2記載のポインティングデバイス。 5.前記リテーナをポッティングコンパウンドとした請求項2記載のポインティ ングデバイス。 6.前記センサを力感知レジスタとしたとした請求項1記載のポインティングデ バイス。 7.前記センサを圧電センサとした請求項1記載のポインティングデバイス。 8.前記力伝達部材の底面を湾曲底面とした請求項1記載のポインティングデバ イス。 9.前記力伝達部材の底面を傾斜底面とした請求項1記載のポインティングデバ イス。 10.前記力伝達部材は、アーム部材の断面直径の20倍〜30倍の半径を有する ものとして構成した請求項2記載のポインティングデバイス。 11.第1端部及び第2端部を有するアームと、前記アームの第2端部に取り付け た力伝達部材とを有するアクチュエータと、 前記アームの第1端部に加わる力を検出して前記アームを介して前記力伝達 部材に伝達する力センサと、 前記力伝達部材の前記力センサに対する接触を維持し、かつ前記力センサに 大きな力が加わらないように前記アクチュエータの膨張及び収縮を可能にするコ ネクタと を備えたことを特徴とするポインティングデバイス。 12.前記コネクタを、前記力センサと前記力伝達部材との間に位置決めしたエラ ストマー接着剤により構成した請求項11記載のポインティングデバイス。 13.前記力伝達部材が前記エラストマー接着剤から分離するのを阻止するリテー ナを更に設けた請求項11記載のポインティングデバイス。 14.前記アームの第1端部の変位距離が前記リテーナによって制限されるように 構成した請求項13記載のポインティングデバイス。 15.ユーザーによって加わる力を受けるアームと、 前記アームからの力を伝達するよう連結した力伝達部材と、 前記力伝達部材からの力を受けてこの力を対応する電気信号に変換するセン サと を備え、前記力伝達部材により、力の変化に応答して位置が変化する単一の連 続領域で力を前記センサに伝達する構成としたジョイスティック。 16.前記センサは力感知レジスタとした請求項15記載のデョイスティック。 17.前記力感知レジスタは、4個の力感知レジスタのアレイの一部を構成するも のとした請求項16記載のジョイスティック。 18.前記力伝達部材の底面は湾曲した底面とした請求項16記載のジョイスティ ック。 19.前記力伝達部材の底面を傾斜した底面とした請求項16記載のジョイスティ ック。 20.アルファベットキーのセットと、請求項1記載のポインティングデバイスを 備えたことを特徴とするキーボード。 21.前記ポインティングデバイスを、前記アルファベットキーを分離する空間に 位置決めした請求項20記載のキーボード。 22.前記ポインティングデバイスを前記アルファベットキーから離して位置決め した請求項20記載のキーボード。 23.スクリーン上のカーソルの動きを制御する方法において、 力をアームに加え、 前記アームからの力を前記アームに取り付けた力伝達部材に伝達し、前記力 伝達部材を介してこの力伝達部材を保持するエラストマー接着剤に伝達し、次に センサに伝達し、 前記力を感知し、 前記力に対応する電気信号を発生する ことよりなることを特徴とするカーソル制御方法。 24.カーソル制御装置を製造する方法において、 センサを設け、 前記センサに隣接するようエラストマー接着剤を位置決めし、 力伝達部材及びアームを有するアクチュエータを前記エラストマー接着剤に 付着させ、 前記アームの変位を制限するリテーナを位置決めする ことよりなることを特徴とするカーソル制御装置製造方法。
