Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.画像フレームごとに可変数のデータビットを有する符号化デジタルビデオ信 号の伝送の際の圧縮に当たり、 a)前記符号化デジタルビデオ信号のビットストリームの第1ビットレート を検出するステップと、 b)前記信号のビットストリームを前記第1ビットレートでバッファに順次 書き込むステップと、 c)前記第1ビットレートの割合として第2ビットレートを獲得し、その割 合の変化が、前記第1ビットレートの変化に対して逆関係となるステップと、 d)前記第2ビットレートで前記バッファからビットストリームを読み出す ステップとを具えることを特徴とする符号化デジタルビデオ信号の伝送の際の圧 縮方法。 2.前記第1ビットレートの明示範囲に対して、前記第2ビットレートは、最小 第1ビットレート値で前記第1ビットレートに等しいことを特徴とする請求の範 囲1記載の符号化デジタルビデオ信号の伝送の際の圧縮方法。 3.連続的な一つ以上の画像フレームのグループ化を明示し、前記第2ビットレ ートを、前記グループ化の第1フレームのビットレートから獲得し、かつ、それ に続くグループ化の第1フレームのビットレートが検出されるまで一定に維持す ることを特徴とする請求の範囲1又は2記載の符号化デジタルビデオ信号の伝送 の際の圧縮方法。 4.MPEG規格に従って符号化した信号に対して、第1グループ化をIピクチャに 割り当てるとともに、第2グループ化を画像の他のタイプに割り当てることを特 徴とする請求の範囲3記載の符号化デジタルビデオ信号の伝送の際の圧縮方法。 5.伝送の際にデジタルビデオ信号を符号化するように動作可能なビデオ信号符 号化装置であって、この装置が、 予め設定された符号化形態に応じて受信したビデオ信号を符号化するととも に前記信号を可変ビットレートデータストリームとして出力するように動作可能 なエンコーダ段と、 前記可変ビットレートデータストリームを前記エンコーダから受信するよう に結合するとともに、伝送の際にデータ信号を出力するように配置したバッファ とを具えるビデオ信号符号化装置において、 前記可変ビットレートストリームのビットレートを検出しうる手段と、前記 エンコーダ段の出力ビットレートの割合として第2ビットレートを獲得しうる手 段とを設け、その割合変化が前記エンコーダ段の出力レートの変化に対して逆関 係を有し、前記バッファの出力データ信号のビットレートを前記第2ビットレー トに制御するように作動しうる手段を更に設けたことを特徴とするビデオ信号符 号化装置。 6.前記エンコーダ段を、MPEG規格に応じて、前記受信したビデオ信号を符号化 するように構成したことを特徴とする請求の範囲5記載のビデオ信号符号化装置 。 7.前記エンコーダ段の出力ビットレートを検出しうる手段は、エンコーダ段の 出力ビットレートを検出して、複数のビットレート値の連続的な範囲を明示し、 これら範囲のうちの最初の範囲を有するエンコーダ出力ビットレート値を最初に 検出すると、獲得した第2ビットレートを前記範囲の他の範囲のビットレートが 検出されるまでほぼ一定に維持するように構成したことを特徴とする請求の範囲 5記載のビデオ信号符号化装置。 8.ビデオ画像フレームのシーケンスに対する符号化データのビットストリーム を具える請求の範囲1記載の方法によって圧縮された符号化デジタルビデオ信号 において、この信号の瞬時のビットレートが、nフレーム周期後画像フレームの ビット密度に対して反対関係を有するようにし、nを前記ビット密度によって決 定するようにしたことを特徴とする符号化デジタルビデオ信号。
