Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.以下のアミノ酸配列をコードするヌクレオチド配列(配列番号2): 2.請求項1に記載のRNA分子。 3.植物中で稔性を仲介し、そして以下のアミノ酸配列(配列番号2)をコードす るDNA分子: 4.植物中で稔性を仲介するDNA分子であり、以下(配列番号1)を含むDNA分子: 5.請求項1に記載のヌクレオチド配列を含む、プラスミドベクター。 6.植物細胞中に導入された請求項1に記載のヌクレオチド配列を有する、植物 細胞。 7.前記植物細胞がトウモロコシ植物細胞である、請求項6に記載の植物細胞。 8.植物の稔性を仲介する方法であって、該植物中で以下のアミノ酸配列(配列 番号2)をコードするヌクレオチド配列を仲介する工程を包含する、方法: 9.仲介された前記ヌクレオチド配列がRNA分子である、請求項8に記載の方法 。 10.仲介された前記ヌクレオチド配列がDNA分子である、請求項8に記載の方 法。 11.植物の稔性を仲介する方法であって、植物中で以下の配列(配列番号1)の DNA分子を仲介する工程を包含する、方法: 12.植物中で雄性稔性を仲介するための方法であって、以下のアミノ酸配列( 配列番号2)をコードするヌクレオチド配列の発現の抑制を引き起こす工程を包 含する、方法: 13.植物中で雄性稔性を仲介するための方法であって、以下の配列(配列番号 1)のDNA分子の発現の抑制を引き起こす工程を包含する、方法: 14.前記ヌクレオチド配列の発現が、該ヌクレオチド配列の変異によって抑制 される、請求項12に記載の方法。 15.前記植物中に、前記ヌクレオチド配列の発現を抑制する第2のヌクレオチ ド配列を送達する工程をさらに包含する、請求項12に記載の方法。 16.前記DNA分子の発現が、該DNA分子の変異によって抑制される、請求項13 に記載の方法。 17.前記植物中に、前記DNA分子に対しアンチセンス方向に向けられた第2の ヌクレオチド配列分子を送達し、それにより、該DNA分子の発現を抑制する工程 をさらに包含する、請求項13に記載の方法。 18.前記植物中に、前記DNA分子の発現を抑制する第2のDNA分子を送達する工 程をさらに包含する、請求項13に記載の方法。 19.請求項8に記載の方法によって生産された、雄性稔性仲介植物。 20.請求項11に記載の方法によって生産された、雄性稔性仲介植物。 21.植物中で、遺伝性の外部的に制御可能な雄性不稔性を提供する方法であっ て、以下の工程: 発現配列中の請求項3に記載のDNA分子を、外部制御に応答する誘導性プロモ ーターと連結させる工程; 該発現配列を該植物のゲノム中に送達する工程;および 該植物の天然ゲノム由来の請求項3に記載のDNA分子の産物をコードするDNA分 子を不活化する工程、 を包含する、方法。 22.前記DNA分子のアミノ酸配列が、請求項4に記載のDNA分子によってコード される、請求項21に記載の方法。 23.遺伝性の、外部的に制御可能な雄性不稔性を有する植物を生殖させる方法 であって、該雄性不稔性が、植物中の請求項3に記載のDNA分子の産物をコード する第1の天然DNA分子を、発現配列内に誘導性プロモーターを連結させた請求 項3に記載の第2のDNA分子で置換することによって生じ、以下の工程: 生長する雄性不稔性植物を提供するために、該植物の種子を蒔く工程; 該第2のDNA分子を発現するために、該プロモーターを誘導する条件下で、生 長する該植物の雄性稔性型への転換を誘導する工程;および 種子を生産するために、生長する該植物を隔離して自然受粉する工程;および 該種子を収穫する工程、 を包含する、方法。 24.前記DNA分子の前記アミノ酸配列が、請求項4に記載のDNA分子によってコ ードされる、請求項23に記載の方法。 25.請求項21に記載の方法によって生産された、制御可能な雄性不稔性植物 。 26.ハイブリッド種子を生産する方法であって、以下の工程: 選択された雄性稔性親系統からの第1の種子と、請求項3に記載のアミノ酸配 列をコードする第1の天然のDNA分子を外部制御に応答する誘導性プロモーター を有する発現配列に連結された請求項3に記載の第2のDNA分子で置換すること により生じる雄性不稔性を有する雌性親系統から選択された第2の種子を、他家 受粉するように並べて植える工程; 該第2のDNA分子の発現を誘導しない条件下で、該種子を成熟植物体に生長さ せる工程; 該雄性不稔性の雌性植物を、雄性稔性植物由来の花粉と他家受粉させる工程; および 該雄性不稔性雌性植物から種子を収穫する工程、 を包含する、方法。 27.請求項1に記載のヌクレオチド配列を含む発現カセットであって、植物細 胞中で該ヌクレオチド配列の発現を引き起こす植物調節配列に作動可能に連結さ れている、発現カセット。
