Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily position a carpet 2 for a raising member by mounting L- shaped hooks in cross section to the reverse surface of the carpet and by forming engaging grooves in the obverse surface of the raising member and by engaging the hooks of the carpet with the engaging grooves of the raising member. SOLUTION: A plurality of engaging grooves 7 are formed at prescribed positions of a raising member 2 and on the outside of a rail, whereas a carpet 3 placed on the raising member 2 is divided into a rail inside portion and a rail outside portion and has a hook 8 shaped like a letter L in cross section at the position of each groove 7 on the reverse surface thereof. The raising member 2 is not required to be provided with a part for fixing and hence the engaging grooves 7 can be formed at the same time when the raising member 2 is formed or trimmed. Since the carpet 3 is fixed only at the position where the hook 8 is engaged with the engaging groove 7 of the raising member 2, the carpet 2 is easily positioned for the raising member 2.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a structure for fixing a carpet and a raising member on a floor of an automobile.

2.
