Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 生体骨中に外科的に植え込まれ且つ自然オキシド層を表面上に有するチ タンから製造されるインプラントの表面を調製する方法であって、 インプラント表面から自然オキシド層を除去して、ほぼ一様な表面組織を生じ るように更に処理されうる表面を提供し、そして 自然オキシド層が除去された該表面に、それが再度酸化される前に、更に別の および異なった処理を施して、ほぼ一様な表面組織を形成する工程を含む上記方 法。 2. 前記自然オキシド層を、少なくとも約100オングストローム/分の速 度で自然オキシド層を腐蝕するのに充分な強度のフッ化水素酸を用いて前記表面 を腐蝕することによって除去する請求項1に記載の方法。 3. 前記フッ化水素酸が、約200〜約350オングストローム/分の腐蝕 速度を生じる請求項2に記載の方法。 4. 前記更に別のおよび異なった処理が、硫酸および塩酸の混合物を用いて 前記表面を腐蝕することを含む請求項1に記載の方法。 5. 前記酸腐蝕を、硫酸対塩酸類の比率が約6対1である水溶液中で行う請 求項4に記載の方法。 6. 前記酸腐蝕を、未反応酸素の実質的に不存在下で行う請求項5に記載の 方法。 7. 前記酸腐蝕を、ほぼ室温を越える温度で行う請求項5に記載の方法。 8. 骨鉱質、ヒドロキシアパタイト、ウィトロック石、骨形態形成タンパク 質および薬剤から成る群より選択される少なくとも一つの材料を酸腐蝕表面上に 付着させる工程を含む請求項3に記載の方法。 9. 前記付着材料が粒状の形である請求項8に記載の方法。 10.前記付着工程を、酸素の実質的に不存在下で行う請求項8に記載の方法 。 11.前記自然オキシド層の除去の前に、前記装置の表面をグリットブラスト 仕上する工程を含む請求項1に記載の方法。 12.前記グリットブラスト仕上で用いられるグリットが、チタンまたはチタ ンの希薄合金から成る請求項11に記載の方法。 13.前記グリットブラスト仕上で用いられるグリットが、約10〜約60ミ クロンの粒度を有する請求項11に記載の方法。 14.前記グリットブラスト仕上を、約50〜約80psiの圧力で行う請求 項11に記載の方法。 15.インプラントが長期間存続するヒト体内における、チタンから製造され る且つインプラントの表面から自然オキシド層を除去した後に得られた表面を酸 腐蝕することによって調製された表面を有するインプラントを含む改良。 16.インプラント表面が、自然オキシド層の除去の前にグリットブラスト仕 上されている請求項15に記載のインプラント。 17.前記酸腐蝕から得られた表面が、約10ミクロン以下のピーク−谷高さ を有するほぼ一様な不整の列から成る請求項15に記載のインプラント。 18.前記不整が、約0.3ミクロン〜約1.5ミクロンの範囲の底部−ピー ク高さを有するかなりの数のほぼ円錐形状要素を含む請求項17に記載のインプ ラント。 19.前記要素が、直径が約0.3ミクロン〜約1.2ミクロンの範囲である ほぼ円形の底部を有する請求項18に記載のインプラント。 20.前記不整が、直径が約0.3ミクロン〜約0.6ミクロンの範囲である ほぼ円形の底部を有するかなりの数のほぼ円錐形状要素を含む請求項17に記載 のインプラント。 21.約70〜約150オングストロームの厚みを有する自然オキシド層を表 面上に有するチタンから製造された歯科用インプラントの表面を調製する方法で あって、 自然オキシド層を少なくとも100オングストローム/分の速度で腐蝕するの に充分な強度のフッ化水素酸を用いてインプラントの表面を腐蝕することによっ て該表面から自然オキシド層を除去して、骨を結合することが予定されているイ ンプラント表面上にほぼ一様な表面組織を生じるように更に処理されうる表面を 提供し、そして 自然オキシド層の除去後にフッ化水素酸からインプラントを取出し、そして腐 蝕された表面が再度酸化される前に、インプラントを硫酸および塩酸の混合物中 に約3〜約10分間浸漬して、一様に腐蝕された表面を生じる工程を含む上記方 法。 22.前記水溶液中の硫酸対塩酸の比率が約6対1である請求項21に記載の 方法。 23.骨鉱質、ヒドロキシアパタイト、ウィトロック石、骨形態形成タンパク 質および薬剤から成る群より選択される少なくとも一つの材料を酸腐蝕表面上に 付着させる工程を含む請求項21に記載の方法。 24.前記付着工程を、酸素の実質的に不存在下で行う請求項21に記載の方 法。 25.自然オキシド層の除去の前に、インプラント表面をグリットブラスト仕 上する工程を更に含む請求項21に記載の方法。 26.生体骨中に外科的に植え込み可能であり且つ自然オキシド層を表面上に 有するチタンから製造される装置の表面を調製する方法であって、装置の表面か ら自然オキシド層をほとんど全部除去して、該表面が該オキシドをほぼ一様に含 まない状態にし、そして未反応酸素の実質的に不存在下において該一様に含まな い表面の更に別の処理を行う工程を含む上記方法。 27.自然オキシドを除去する前記工程を、約1分間以下の間隔で行う請求項 26に記載の方法。 28.生体骨中に外科的に植え込み可能である装置の表面を調製する方法であ って、自然オキシドの該表面をほぼ完全に剥離し、そして酸素の実質的不存在下 において該表面の更に別の処理を行う工程を含む上記方法。
