Abstract

PURPOSE: A composite molded article having improved interlaminar adhesion between an acrylic sheet layer and a glass fiber reinforced resin layer, by forming reinforced plastic layers comprising an unsaturated polyester resin consisting of an ester oligomer and a polymerizable monomer.
CONSTITUTION: A composite molded article comprising reinforced plastic layers of (A) a curable unsaturated polyester resin with a high solid content consisting of (a) 60W95 parts bt wt. of an ester oligomer having an acid value ≤ 30, obtained by reacting a monobasic acid of the formula (X is 2W3 C α,β-unsaturated hydrocarbon group) and a polyhydric alcohol and (b) 40W5 parts by wt. of a polymerizable monomer having one or more polymerizable double bonds in one molecule and (B) a glass fiber base material. The monobasic acid is obtained by esterification or addition reaction of dicyclopentadiene with maleic anhydride.
