Abstract
PURPOSE: A flame-retardant polyester resin composition useful as heating apparatuses, electrical appliances, and automobile parts, having improved color, comprising a thermoplastic polyester, a bromine-containing polycarbonate, an Sb compound and a benzoxazolyl ring-containing compound.
CONSTITUTION: A flamd-retardant polyester resin composition comprising (A) 100 parts by wt. of a thermoplastic polyester, e.g. polyethylene terephthalate or polybutylene terephthalate, (B) 1W100 parts by wt. of a bromine-containing polycarbonate of the formula (l and m are integers 1W4; n is ≥2, preferably 16W50; R1 and R2 are H, 1W5C alkyl group, or may form a 5W12C cycloalkane), (C) 0W100 parts by wt., preferably 1W50 parts by wt. calculated as Sb of an antimony compound, and (D) 0.0001W3 parts by wt., preferably 0.001W1 parts by wt. of a benzoxazolyl compound, e.g. 4,4'-bis(2-benzoxazolyl) stilbene.
