Abstract
PURPOSE: A polyalkylene oxide bearing specific groups is incorporated to a polyester containing aromatic dicarboxylic acids as the main acid component to produce titled polyester composition with high heat stability, mechanical properties, dimensional stability, and chemical resistance.
CONSTITUTION: To (A) a polyester that contains as the acid component, more than 70mol% of aromatic dicarboxylic acids and has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.4 or more measured in 0-chlorophenol at 35°C is incorporated (B) 0.1W50wt% of a polyalkylene oxide with side chain groups of the formula (R1-3 may be the same or different H, organic radical) having reduced relative viscosity of 0.005W0.6 measured by using a solution of 1.2g/dl concentration in a mix solvent of 40 tetrachloroethane and 60 phenol by weight at 35°C.
EFFECT: The resulting composition can be changed to products with higher performance by simple crosslinking treatment.
